Asian shops are great for finding odd crisps, even if just for the cool Lays flavours we'd never get under Walkers. Anything from Nong Shim has been good so far, I haven't had them in many years but the Tako octupus flavour ones are so weird but great.

Chinese imported Lays are how I discovered the awful cucumber flavour, but they are broadly good otherwise.

My latest discoveries:

Posh cheese and onion. Decent - the cheese flavour had an aromatic quality to it, almost a bit like Gruyère. Nonetheless, still cheese and onion - tasty, but perhaps not quite worth the extra cash. You may, however, feel differently.

Bought these today for a quid in B&M.

Nothing spectacular but if you like beef crisps you'll enjoy them. Again, ridged so docked a point, but impressively 'heavy' so that marks it back up. 7/10

They also have a Pigs in Blankets one but with that 'hot honey' nonsense so that's a swerve.

I had some nice ones from Aldi the other day. They were really nice, and only a quid.

I'm expecting your reviews of all of them. Unless you are boycotting due to getting passed over for the role

I tried the Honey Roast Ham Sensations last year I think (they were fine IIRC) and the M&S turkey ones are reviewed a page back and were utterly vile.

I'll get to the rest if I can.

Saw some Gingerbread Doritos in Lidl the other day. Didn't even enter my head for a second to try them, they sound rank.

Is it me or are crisps in a bit of a lull at the moment? Feels like 2026 needs to be a comeback year, get some fish and chips-flavoured crisps and the like back out there.

I agree, some very lazy manufacturers out there at the moment, or maybe I've just tried them all.

I will try these but I've been unlucky in finding any so far!

Exactly why I need bacon to try them. They sound awful. Will be getting on those co-op duck and clementine ones asap though. Very intrigued by them.

I've seen the gingerbread ones. I will not touch them. I'm too averse to the risk of potentially having to throw away a whole pack.

So, gingerbread Doritos are apparently a thing this festive season.

A friend of mine brought a pack to the beer festival tonight. If our sample is anything to go by, 95% people will despise them, but I'll fucking love them. They just work.

They're bloody lovely. IMO.

God damnit, I've gotta try them now don't I?

Off topic but I don't like the gingerbread Pepsi too much, there's a bigger fake sweetness than the rest of the Max range.

I'm surprised they haven't tried a Matcha version of either as that's the big thing right now.

Edit: need to find these.
