God damnit, I've gotta try them now don't I?

Off topic but I don't like the gingerbread Pepsi too much, there's a bigger fake sweetness than the rest of the Max range.

I'm surprised they haven't tried a Matcha version of either as that's the big thing right now.

Edit: need to find these.

I'll head down China Town next time I'm in Brum, I can usually find whatever between all the stores there and elsewhere in the city.

Any particular recommendations? I'm down Brum at least once a month and would be good to find some.

There's a newer one called Taste the Orient that I quite like, it's directly over the road from Chinatown and had some of the better drink choices (alcoholic too).

Oseyo on New Street is likely the easiest to get to, on the main shopping high street across from the Odeon Cinema and isn't all that bad either. Small but a varied selection and not pricier despite the central location.

Co-op Roast Duck & Spiced Clementine

While these are nice, but not amazing, they remind me of either a Spare Rib flavour crisp, or Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations, quite a generic flavour. There is nothing of duck or orange. But they are nice. 6/10

These are very nice indeed. I can't remember whether I've had this brand before, and while you are absolutely mugged off by the amount of crisps in the packet (I buy 150gs I want 150gs crisp motherfuckers!) they have somehow made it a bit...fizzy. Maybe they haven't and I've just been sucked in by the packaging and name, but I really do feel they have. Salty and a nice bit of spice as well. 8/10

Also got an Italian cheese and wine flavour by them which I reckon will absolutely stink.

I’ve only had the wagyu beef & honey mustard flavour so they are clearly wanky as but they were fantastic so will definitely give them a go next time I see them in the wild.

Does anyone remember a brand of crisps in the eighties/nineties that were wagon wheel shapes and came in a flavour that was something like salt and onion vinegar, so not full salt and vinegar but not cheesy enough to be cheese and onion? Appreciate they might have been a local area (West Mids) thing. I think they had a Mexican spices flavour too.

I think it's these, sure there was a Mexican flavour.

Had a try of Aldi’s Beef Wellington crisps the other week as they’re selling at 99p a bag, has a good blend of faint buttery/salty notes from the pastry, earthiness from the mushrooms and meatiness from the beef, could and should have demolished the bag in one sitting

Going back on Monday to pick up the Turkey and Pigs in Blankets ones if they have them

Aldi are onto a good thing with these.

They just need to bring back the beef and red wine flavour now.

Possibly the best crisps I’ve ever had.
