RedTwoster Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Back to posting about the ‘posh wanky’ crisps I buy, as my wife said: I picked these up in TK Maxx, and they’re one of the worst things I’ve eaten in quite some time. They have a bit of a smoked taste to them if that’s your kinda thing, but I thought they were horrible. A salted crisp seemed like a safe bet to me, but I could only eat two of these before throwing the rest in the bin. They’re impressively bad, so credit to Kauboi for making something so unpleasant with such a basic flavour. Quote
Paid Members Statto Posted February 17 Paid Members Posted February 17 Speaking of posh wanky crisps... picked these up in the poshest department store in Norfolk's poshest town (yeah I know, Bobby Heenan nicest guy in prison gag) on Saturday: The duck ones are pretty nice and taste like what they purport to. The boar ones are... interesting. Not unpleasant flavour, but unusual and they absolutely reek. Quote

I’ve never tried them though, there’s something about the flavours that put me off and I’ve no idea why. Fuck me, I ate those Doritos gingerbread crisps and cucumber flavoured crisps in the past. No idea why game is the line I can’t cross. Quote

Tried the Boar ones and they tasted very much like the Hedgehog flavour crisps they had in the early 80’s Quote

Yeah they had those too - toyed with getting the lot but decided to stick to just two, because... 25 minutes ago, Thunderplex said: Don’t know what you paid for them, but they had them in Home Bargains in Levenshulme for a quid a bag. More than a quid, I'll tell you that much. Don't get much in Holt for a quid. (PS the gingerbread Doritos were fab and I'll die on that vaguely triangular hill) Quote

You get a choice of beers, a glass, snacking pickles, some meat sticks and packets of these. Genuinely great value. The best way to describe the snacking cheese bites is that they taste like the hard cheese you don't immediately clean off from a toastie maker, but crunchier. They are very flavourful. My husband got some of these from the garden centre on the weekend, I have really enjoyed them. Crunchy cheese. It's odd because it's cold on the tongue but very full of flavour, and very strong cheese flavour without being overly cheesy. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted February 26 Members Posted February 26 McCoys Secret Burger Sauce. Don't bother, absolutely shite. But in other news, need to try these as soon as possible. Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted February 26 Paid Members Posted February 26 I feel like they already exist in the form of Flaming Hot Crunchy Wotsits. Which are awesome. Quote
Merzbow Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Yeah they're great, I think they stopped all those flaming hot gimmicks though. Seemed like they were trying to compete with Takis which the youts were all over, don't even see them around now m Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Tyrells look like, at least the lovely veg ones, they could be disappearing from the shelves soon https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c620egvdqgyo Quote

Paid Members FLips Posted February 27 Paid Members Posted February 27 The veg ones were the only ones they do worth buying. That being said I haven’t bought them in years and won’t miss them. Quote
