I’m not affected by caffeine because of ADHD so I’d have both on a drip please. Has anyone tried Mexican hot chocolate? I had it (funnily enough) in Mexico and it was amazing. Back in around 2003, the Royal Academy did an amazing exhibition of Aztec art, which I went to several times. It was co-promoted with a Mexican governmental body for culture, and consequently there were a lot of Mexican goods on sale in the gift shop, including Ibarra hot chocolate, which, I'd imagine, is what you're referring to. It was basically dark chocolate, cinnamon and chilli, and that all works really well together. Quote

It tasted similar but I could never get it to the right consistency and the powder just floated to the top each time. Could be worse, my girlfriend ordered Pret's equivalent at a service station the other day, and the person serving it added coffee to it because they didn't know what they were supposed to be making. Admittedly she doesn't like coffee at the best of times, but she said it was absolutely revolting. Quote

Which has a habit of leaving a residue at the bottom of the cup. Our current strainer isn't fine enough to remove the stuff that settles. I was thinking about using some muslin for the job. Has anyone come across a conventional strainer that has a finer mesh for removing the unwanted bits? Quote

You can get tea balls that have a very fine mesh on them, but as it’s powdered turmeric, I think muslin is the way forward. It will stain, but you can wash it and reuse for the same thing. Quote
