I bought the 1999 album, and was surprised when it sounded nothing like the single version. They still have a great sound. I know what I'll be listening to on my way to and from work today.

Zdar did so much more work beyond Cassius as well, he is undoubtedly the 'Bangalter' of the duo. He was a huge influence too, Digitalism's brilliant breakthrough track 'Zdarlight' is a clear nod to him.

Beth Chapman, wife of Dog The Bounty Hunter has died aged 51.

My other half was in tears when she told me this yesterday. She was a big fan.

Surprised it wasn't sooner. He looked like dosghit (well, more than usual) when I last saw him on telly.

Good knock for a horse racing enthusiast who smoked cigars.

The mighty Joao Gilberto, one of the fathers of bossa nova, the best music. 88, a cracking innings for a musical genius

What’s it been blamed on?

Rip Torn has died aged 88. I probably need to go through more of his back catalogue but he steals every scene he’s in in Dodgeball and Men In Black.

While I love Dodgeball, he was superb in Larry Sanders

Rip Torn is sensational in Dodgeball. One of my favourite films of all time (although I did think he'd died a few years ago...)

Me too. Sad news to hear that he's died again.
