Paid Members Supremo Posted September 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) It was Jade’s mate Adele who I remember getting the first eviction where it felt like a violent mob booing the fuck out of her. Until then, even if people weren’t liked, it’d still be relatively civil. Everything changed after that. You’d get Davina all panicked, going, “it’s just panto!” but there were definitely times when it didn’t feel like panto at all. Paid Members Supremo Posted September 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 18, 2018 I always felt like there was a cross-over with Big Brother and pro-wrestling. Particularly in the later years, it was like watching someone trying to book a territory to get the reactions they wanted. You’d see really obvious attempts to keep certain people in or paint them in a particular light. The, “twists,” became more and more transparent. Them doing everything in their power to stop that insufferable Charley from being evicted from Big Brother 8 was essentially WWE’s handling of Roman Reigns as the top babyface. Mr_Danger
Didn't the press or show start to pile it on with how hard Jades upbringing was and that started to turn the tide?

The Maestro
Have a few people from Big Brother ended up in porn? I remember seeing the lady with the shaved head from one of the earlier series getting double dipped by a couple of dudes and Bex from Coventry fellating a cordless phone on Babestation. I wouldn't be shocked if more made the transition.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 18, 2018 Jade bullied Rik Waller in Back to Reality. Only saved from a scandal because nobody saw it. Really mean to him as well. Called him a fat smelly cunt.

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) Dermot O'Leary was the one who grilled Jade on Big Brothers Little Brother. He wasnt having any of it. I remember thinking he done a belting job, compared to Davina. Some of the things they were saying, were disgusting, though. A pack of witches, jealous that Shilpa seemed to carry herself with a bit of grace. So they picked on her. It was horrible TV. But yeah, Danielle Lloyd was protected by the tabloids. Until now obviousy, where the only time you see her in the paper is for the papers to laugh at how shit her life is. Remember when they did a tribute to Jade on the final episode of the Channel 4 version? She died the year before, but they paid their respects to her. Makes you wonder, if she didnt get cancer, how would they have handled her on the final episode? Its sort of the old "you cant do a history of WWE DVD without Hogan on it" type thing. Would they have had her on one of the programmes they did? Channel 4 really pushed the boat out. Everything was Big Brother themed. There was an aformentioned roundtable where Marco from Big Brother 5 had hair, looking like the grown up version of Tommy Pickles from that Rugrats reboot. It was class. Like a gimmick battle royal. Rex was on it, Grace, Alex, Craig, just a bunch of names talking about the show. Marco was so humble on it., Life must have fucking owned him once he left the house, because he was a changed man. Biggest dickhead in there in 2004, though. I have no idea if Channel 5 even have the rights or the pull to get a few ex-housemates back for a celebration. Everyone buries these days. Channel 5 doing it would be like Extreme Reunion shows, without Joey Styles, Paul Heyman and Tazz to make it authentic. Paid Members LaGoosh Posted September 18, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted September 18, 2018 (edited) Dermot never took any shit from the housemates on his show. I always thought Davina was rubbish on eviction nights...actually she's fucking rubbish at presenting TV in general. Another moment that popped in my head from BB5 was one day they decided to give housemates a bunch of exercise equipment. Jason, the huge jacked up Scotsman, was ecstatic and started pumping some serious iron. At one point, Stu comes outside and see's Jason dead lifting what looked like 500lbs. Bloody Scott Steiner level shit. Jason casually goes "you wanna' give it a try, mate? It's not that heavy". Stu's extremely shy reply "No, I'm alright for the moment, cheers". I enjoyed Spiral for his lack of self awareness. He released a single shortly afterwards, the chorus "My name's Spiral....if you don't like me...I don't give a damn!". That Ashaleen (sp?) was a right cunt though. One point, she had to pick between two blokes to enter the house as new housemates and she acted as if it was the most difficult decision of her life. She was wailing in tears because of the trauma of it. Edited September 18, 2018 by LaGoosh

When she came out of BB3, she was a beloved dunce, but the weeks before that, the eviction crowds had signs of her with a photoshopped pig's snout and so on. I can't remember what changed public opinion. I think it might've been a couple of incidents where the public warmed to her. The East Anglia conversation with Spencer for one, and the time where she stripped down starkers for some game of sorts.
