It was the biggest buyrate a SummerSlam has done for years. Triple H vs Lesnar seems a dead cert. Especially with the babyface getting his revenge. Its a hot program between two big attractions. And Triple H returns always do well. How do you work out Triple H doesn't need his heat back? He's just retired after having his arm broke. How do you expect him to return without getting his revenge? He didn't cut his hair and cry about not having it anymore to be brought out of retirement by Health Slater.

It was a hot program untill the match fell on its arse. People bought the PPV thinking they were going to get an insane brawl like the match with Cena. Instead they gave they us that pile of shit no one in their right mind will pay to see again

Over on Wrestlezone.com, they've got some 'detailed' results written by someone at the show. This part made me chuckle:

Antonio VS Justin Gabriel: Was actually quite suprised at how much the crowd was behind Gabriel. Chanting USA, USA!!! Good match.

Also, im unsure how whoever wrote this came to this conclusion...

Layla VS Eve: Was an ok match. After seeing Cena on the titron and then the divas match I then figured out that WWE was trying hard to get the divas division back up and going seeing as how there hasn't been much to the divas division for a while now.

Let me throw another crap idea into the melting pot - Vince aligns himself with CM Punk at Hell In A Cell in some way because heel Vince is ratings and we haven't seen him for years in that role. I don't know. The only good idea I've seen, actually, is have Ryback beaten up by a bunch of guys before the main event and taken out of it and is replaced by Cena who then gets mauled by Punk only for Ryback to recover and come out at the end and destroy him. Still don't know how they then carry out a Ryback feud before the Royal Rumble and the alleged Punk v Rock title match. But this is the problem with all unbeaten streaks - ending them convincingly and without damaging the talent is almost impossible. It's great while it lasts but almost always going to end in disappointment.Fairly crap Raw, by the way. At least Prime Time Players won, though!

Could there be anything to Cena's line on Raw about "Ryback not caring about the WWE title but about kicking ass" or whatever he said. Maybe WWE will do some sort of angle on Raw where the match is changed just to a regular match rather than a WWE title match. This way Ryback can go over yet WWE don't have to take the belt off Punk and ruin their Royal Rumble plans. Obviously it's a long shot and it's highly unlikely they'll leave the WWE title off the show but still.

I'm sure Ryback would enjoy beating people up whether he was Champion or not, but as soon as you have the wrestlers saying they don't care about being the Champion, you have a slight problem in getting the audience to care about who it is either. The Title's just started to gain precedence on the shows again, you don't want to demote it now.

That's not good. It's one of the worst. It's a bait-and-switch, and it involves Ryback getting his arse kicked.

Ryback wins by stoppage. Not a pin or submission so Punk retains, despite getting a mighty kicking. Heat on the ref, they can do some kind of angle where he's been pressured into stopping it by Heyman/Vince.

Considering they've had blood on PPVs a few times now, perhaps they could have Punk beaten to a bloody pulp and the Ref stops the match and awards Ryback the title. Heyman/legal shenanigans the next night get the belt returned to Punk as there was no pinfall or sub. Have Heyman claim that the blood rule results in a no-contest, not a forfeit, and that Ryback is not the champion.

That way you have Ryback destroy Punk and seemingly "beat" him at the PPV (keeping him strong), but the belt goes back on Punk so they can do the things with Rock/Cena that they clearly have planned. This will add to Punk's slimy-bastard heelishness and Ryback still hasn't lost either, as it's a no-contest and not even a DQ loss. The fact that he fucking murdered Punk should be enough to take away any shitty-smell from the no-contest finish. Fans go home happy at the PPV, big controversy and "you screwed Ryback" stuff on RAW. Could be alright.

But then what does Ryback do? He's gotta chase Punk. That's not going to work with Rock vs. Punk as the focus. You want Ryback kept well away from anything involving The Rock.

Dunno what Ryback does then, I'm just throwing possibilities for the PPV out there. Either they have a cunning plan, or they have booked themselves into a corner with this whole deal.

If they put the belt on Ryback and ride this wave of momentum they have, they then either need to go with Rock Vrs Ryback at the Rumble (which means either Rock beats Ryback and the undefeated streak is done anyway, or Rock lays down and looks weaker going into mania - without the belt) or they have Ryback drop the belt in dodgy fashion between now and the rumble, which again sees the streak ending before mania.

Ideally they'd have a way to keep Ryback strong, but not win the belt on a technicality at Hell In A Cell, then have something strong to distract Ryback with for a few months. Lesnar would be a great and logical distraction, but then you maybe lose the triple H/Brock match for Mania.

It's tricky, but yet very interesting times.

If they could keep Rybacks streak going and strong, what are people's opinion on a Streak vs Streak match at 'Mania with Undertaker? Not saying that it will happen or thats what they should do, I just wondered what the thoughts would be on it.
