17 is a good age. Sorry to hear about Butch's loss. Hopefully he's back soon.

Butch, that is. Obviously.

Aww, bloody hell.  Loved Dog, she was adorable. Please can you send him my condolences, I know what she meant to him.

Thank you for everyone who gave their condolences.

I got back from darts on Monday and she had a funny turn. Wouldn't or couldn't move, wouldnt eat or drink, bowels were going everywhere. She kept falling to sleep but refused to sleep to fight the brave bitch. If she went to sleep she'd have died. So I stayed up through the night with her. I dread to think what she went through. Finest Dog ever been.

But from finding her as a stray in 2005, with 2 teeth in her head. She'd nest all over everywhere, then for her to be brave enough to come out from under the table to come fishing, hunting, and shooting with me. Or even better, when we'd curl up on the sofa to watch Fred Dibnah on iPlayer. Or mainly how she was the best friend a man ever had.

Love you Dog.

17 Glorious Years.

Lost this beautiful boy this morning.  Best friend doesn’t even begin to describe what he was to us.  I’ve really have never felt so deeply sad.

Awww, man - I am so sorry, Plex. He was truly a handsome lad, and he sounds like the best boy. I hope you and the family are holding up OK.

Yeah, really sorry for your loss @Thunderplex. Like others have said, what a good looking boy. I know it's not much comfort, but I'm sure you've got a ton of happy memories of him. Hold on to those.

We took him on his first boat trip.

He had a go at being the captain.

And some people in another boat thought we'd brought a monkey with us.

This is my favourite girl Sylvie. Adopted from the Greyhound Trust. Covid happened just as she was about to start racing, so she's a "retired" racer but never ran a race and is only 2 years old.
