I hate posting after Rick. Stop being too good.

Anyway, I’m making a big daft bean chilli for tonight, loads of different flat breads and a random chocolate cake. Got 3 or 4 people popping round later, should do the trick.

Had a go at a Birthday cake for my daughter's birthday last night. Triple layer chocolate fudge cake with malt cheesecake frosting from the Hummingbird bakery book.

Only problem is I can't have any! 1f648.png

That looks great. My wife's best friend is a pastry chef and she taught me how to make a fancy pants mousse cake over the holidays. It tastes fucking amazing. Real pro shit. I practiced it again by myself and it came out really well. I'm delighted that I can make this now as a pear and chocolate mousse cake is my favourite cake.

They both look absolutely incredible lads. I’d absolutely destroy both of them, right up my street. Out of curiosity, would would be your accompanying drink/drinks of choice with said cakes?

Chest is going to say something other than coffee because he's a big baby.

Had a veggie chili and mushroom risotto done before breakfast yesterday!

Chili went down a storm for tea and there is leftovers in fridge and freezer. Risotto was only made for leftovers and became Arancini:

I treated myself to an air-fryer in the January sales & have been experimenting. I bought it to mainly fuel my chicken wing addiction but have good results with breaded pork streaks & these spuds. Par boiled, ‘hasselbacked’ with mozzarella, red onion & garlic poked in the slices & a little cheddar sprinkled on top at the end (Peppa Pig plate not essential)

Doesn't quite qualify for the Vegan thread as there's egg in the pane, but I made Buffalo cauliflower 'wings' tonight:

Made a ridiculously simple lunch yesterday. A, sort of, quesadilla. Sauteed frozen onions, peppers and mushrooms with a bit of garlic, paprika and chili flakes. Added to two mini tortillas with cheese to hold it all together.

I’ve somehow only made bread once or twice and thought I’d make some basic stuff tonight, just to go with the left over curry from last night. It’s obviously incredibly easy to make bread, and I popped some Garam Masala and garlic powder in to the mix, pre-dough. Come out pretty well. I used garlic oil spray in the pan when frying off too. I’m going to stink tomorrow.

My daughter and I did some baking at the weekend. We made personalised gingerbread biscuits for the rest of the family.

She really enjoyed it. She loves helping out in the kitchen.. Look forward to doing more of this stuff with her.
