Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted December 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted December 12, 2016 Does anyone know when The OA premieres on Netflix? Been waiting for a while, it was supposed to be out this year. Â In four days! Â Trailer's just gone up. Â Â Couldn't be more excited. Nobody does high-concept sci-fi like Brit Marling. Sticks the landing every fucking time.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted December 12, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 12, 2016 Ooh, that's cracking news. Summat to watch over Christmas. Bloody loved Another World, can't wait.
Mr_Danger
According to imdb Another Earth had a budget of $100k. Bloody impressive feat of film making. I absolutely hate that I'm not as in touch with films like I used to be. Story driven films that are low tech and really good like Another Earth or Take Shelter are increasingly hard to come across when you're just looking casually. I pretty much rely on this place to separate the wheat from the chaff. Â That said, Banquey got me all tingly about Inherent Vice and I still haven't made it all the way through. Â I've got Shotgun Stories and UKFF favourite Southern Comfort to get through one night this week. Anyone seen that Weekend at Bernies remake with Paul Dano's wonderfully punchable face and Harry Potter? Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted December 12, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 12, 2016 Take Shelter is a brilliant film, I pimped that one heavily on here a few years' back.
Keith Houchen
Yeah, Take Shelter is brilliant. The two leads are their usual excellent selves.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted December 12, 2016 Awards Moderator Share Posted December 12, 2016 Perennial UKFF favourite Time Commanders is back. A neat format with a stealth history lesson. Â Be warned, Gregg Wallace is the new anchor. Yes, anchor. Â This week features a bunch of wrestlers and they sound Scottish so the chances of them being posters on here is 100%. Keith Houchen
Ah fucking Wallace. Remember that thing Brooker did listing every show the pudding destroyer had been on that week?
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted December 12, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 12, 2016 I quite enjoyed it. Especially the ponce on the Southern team who came out with lines like 'I will have to write the letters to their mothers' when questioned why he wasn't sacrificing soldiers, and 'I have woken in Elysium' once he died. Hero/twat.

The Clint
You know you've watched a fair amount of porn when you spot Leigh Darby on an episode of Judge Rinder while flicking through channels.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted December 16, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted December 16, 2016 (edited) Watching the Stars in Their Eyes Final 1993. Matthew Kelly has an absolute fucking blinder of a mullet. Permed, coiffured. Utterly, utterly majestic. Â He's also got an amazing jacket with stars and shit on. I want it. Despite it being 23 years ago, they have REPEAT BROADCAST DO NOT CALL in poo brown letters. This is going to be top. Â Plus MIDSOMER MURDERS BACK THIS SUNDAY!!!!!!111111 Edited December 16, 2016 by Gus Mears
