Rey_Piste
Clay Davis has turned up as a semi-regular character in Veep Series 2. Sheeyit.Veep is a belter of a show, though you can see certain characters are basically the same as their counterparts from The Thick of It. Rey_Piste
Just watching the sports personality of the year and Gary Lineker's attempt at a beard is piss poor. His slightly gruff voice makes me think that it's actually his evil identical twin Larry. Also the disabled skier Kelly Gallagher looks like a white walker from GOT. Glass Smash
How come every year it always seems the person/group that's in 2nd place that are usually the real winners on the X Factor ?

Mr_Danger
So, that Sam Smith was born out of Boy George's spunky Petri dish.
WyattSheepMask
Sam Smith is horrendously dreary. I listen to black metal and come out in better moods. The wife plays his album loads and if it doesn't put you in a bummed out mood by the end, I don't know what will

Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted December 16, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted December 16, 2014 There's a winter one and one later in the year, plus the regular, boring civilian one. The winter one is usually better.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted December 17, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 17, 2014 Did anyone watch that new Black Mirror episode? Â (it was on yesterday, right?) Â Previous Black Mirror has been patchy, but worth watching when it has been good. I've not seen this yet though..
Metallica
Yep, watched Black Mirror last night. Thought it was a tremendously well told and interesting story. Only saw one moment in the show coming from a mile off but it was still a great 90 mins. Watch it before someone spoils it.
Glass Smash
There's a winter one and one later in the year, plus the regular, boring civilian one. The winter one is usually better.  Celebrity Big Brother begins on 7th January. Patsy Kensit is rumoured to be taking part (which will probably be bullshit) and Danniella Westbrook (now this one sounds true) she needs the money for sure. And a roof over her head for that matter. Edited December 17, 2014 by Glass Smash
Guy Bifkin
Did anyone watch that new Black Mirror episode?  (it was on yesterday, right?)  Previous Black Mirror has been patchy, but worth watching when it has been good. I've not seen this yet though..  I agree that they've been patchy but I thought last night's was by far the best I've seen. Don Draper is excellent. Very creepy vibe and didn't go overboard with the "look how we're all slaves to technology" stuff some of the previous episodes did. It's there obviously but a bit more subtle.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted December 17, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 17, 2014 Yeah, when it's been bad it's been because it has been too heavy handed.. I was going to give it a shot though purely on the drawing power of Don Draper in the advert, but these two reviews have meant that I'll likely watch it tonight. Â Cheers guys! King Pitcos
I really enjoyed the Christmas special. Most/all of the twists were pretty obvious, but the two leads were fine and it was told well enough to keep me hooked. Her who was Robb Stark's wife in Game of Thrones was fair shit, mind, some of the worst "proper" TV acting I've seen by an adult.  I think the episode with Toby Kebbell and the replaying memories was best -- I remember very little of the episode though, but the concept and theme was very good. Edited December 17, 2014 by King Pitcos
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted December 17, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted December 17, 2014 The second series of Brian Pern: A Life In Rock has been equally as superb as the first. A veritable who's who of British comedy actors. From Al Murray as the over the top drummer in the backing band to Paul Whitehouse as the sulky Thotch guitarist. Just superb. The added Roger Moore this week was also brilliant. Watch them on iplayer if you missed them they are great.
