Keith Houchen
Also has Bill Duke and Jóhann Jóhannsson's last soundtrack? It's a yes from Kool Keith! I'm sure we had a brief discussion about it before but I'd forgotten all about it. Nice one, @Guy Bifkin
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 15, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 15, 2018 Yeah, it's being pegged as a return to form for Nicolas Cage. Looking forward to it even if the director's first film, Beyond the Black Rainbow, was utter shite.

Paid Members Fatty Facesitter Posted August 19, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 19, 2018 Actually quite enjoyed seeing The Meg yesterday, cracking little flick for Li Bingbing ( 😍) and Ruby Rose's hair if nothing else.
Loki
Mandy looks like a cross between Mad Max 3, Green Room and The Wicker Man remake. Normally, I worry when someone describes themselves as a "Visionary Director" but that trailer does look good. The colour grader might want to get his eyes checked though, looks like a lost reel from Hardware! I personally have no problems with Jack Whitehall blacking up or whatever. It's acting - gay men have played straight parts for years, and vice versa. Of course, if he plays it like Larry Grayson that's a different matter. Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 Danny Boyle has quit Bond 25 due to creative differences. Always felt too good to be true. I assume it became clear it wasn't really going to be his Bond film.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 Daniel Craig has way too much pull in this series now. It's like he fucking owns Bond or something. I bet what's happened is Boyle wanted to put some jokes in it and he's shit himself and instead wants someone to trot out another Bourne clone. I like him as an actor and a couple of his Bonds have been good films. But for the sake of the 007 name and series they need to move away from him. Preferably to Dan Stevens. Paid Members PunkStep Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 Christopher Nolan can stay the fuck away from Bond 25. Other than that, I'm not fussed who directs it. Imagine Nolan, trying to be too clever and opening parallel universes and all that shite.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 While Michael Caine draws a picture of Bond's new time travel watch because he assumes the audience is too thick for his high art.
Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted August 21, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 21, 2018 I never even considered Dan Stevens as James Bond, but that's a terrific shout. Good looking fucker, could handle the physical stuff well and also has that glint in his eye that Bond needs. I want to see it now. I've loved Casino Royale, Skyfall and Spectre, but I feel Craig is finished as Bond now. The whinging during the Spectre publicity tour did my head in. Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted August 25, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 25, 2018 Bone Tomahawk is on Film4 tonight at 11:20 and needless to say you should all watch it. Worth noting that its writer and director, S. Craig Zahler, is currently getting a lot of attention for his script for.... Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich. https://bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3512269/first-batch-locations-announced-puppet-master-littlest-reich-theatrical-release/ That's one weird career move! Loki
For some reason I think Luke Evans would make a good Bond. He's a physical presence and has that "glint". Bone Tomahawk is cracking, physically nauseating at the end as well.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted August 25, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted August 25, 2018 The upvote is for Bone Tomahawk, not Luke bloody Evans, which is shite.
