The King of Old School Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Who do we think the masked man was helping the vision? Seemed to make it to obvious that it was Rollins. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted November 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 30, 2025 Hilarious that even when fate itself stepped in to injure Rollins and force them to stop Punk and Seth's Never-ending Story, they just chucked a black hoodie on someone else to do all his spots and keep it going. It'll be Austin Theory. And that'll be the better option to it actually being Seth. Austin Theory is the preferable option. Think about that. Quote
AshC Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 They proper love them some Seth Rollins, don't they? Wasn't even in the state most likely and it was still all built around him in the end. Felt full Poochie. Quote
NeverYield Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 (edited) Sitting here watching Dirty Dom vs Cena and whilst I get Dom has come on leaps and bounds I personally think everything he does is so hokey His kicks to Cenas midsection in the corner looked absolutely awful as does any time he does a 619, the 'connection' looks like it wouldlnt even knock the flake out of an ice cream cone. Been watching some oldschool stuff from various years lately, and we've had Bret recently saying he thinks wrestlings looks 'too fake' nowadays and I've got to say i mostly agree, some of the work on RAW and SD is cringe. I know even in the so called good old days theres been awful stuff, that doesn't even remotely look better with the passage of time, but the way WWE looks so over polished and highly produced nowadays, so clean, it makes the work look incredibly shit imo. Paid Members Supremo Posted November 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 30, 2025 (edited) Dirty Dom’s in-ring work looking weak as piss is part of the charm! Provided you’re skilled at what really matters in this business - the bullshit - how stiff you work is irrelevant. If anything, it just guarantees he’s going straight to the top. You don’t have to worry about him getting injured and everyone will want to work with him. It looks like a night off when you’re in there with The King of the Luchadores! In that sense, it’s quite fitting that Dom was in there with Cena because the same can apply to John, too. Cena’s stuff has always looked rubbish; he’s never locked on an STF that didn’t look like a gurning cuddle. And yet I was still choking up during that entrance. I’m gonna miss the daft lump. Good for him that they turned this cursed run around and he’s going out on a high. I’ll be in bits when Gunther caves his chest in. Cena vs. Dom was the highlight of the show. Top tier bollocks. Liv doing her own version of Cena’s heel turn hug was brilliant. Nice to see love conquering all. A true happy ending. Best thing I can say about the Women’s War Games was that it was better than last year. Still crap. Like the fucking Generation Game, where random women take turns waltzing to the ring with the next novelty weapon, but it never fell apart anywhere close to last year. Nia Jax progressing from dangerously bad to just embarrassingly bad. Touché. Women’s War Games also had the most bizarre psychology imaginable. I’m sure there are clever ways to tell an interesting story with the babyfaces still having the advantage, we saw it with Mark Briscoe getting taken out in Blood and Guts. But here, they seemed to decide to just do the same match they always do, only with the heels running in every few minutes to even the odds and make the save. So weird. Luckily though, they’re immune from me criticising any of this because technically the match hadn’t began. I’m not sure if you noticed, but if you paid attention and listened closely, Michael Cole may have mentioned this at least a hundred fucking times. If you took a drink every time he said it, you’d be dead. Next year I might keep a tally. I swear he did it the very first second of the Women’s Match. It has to be a joke at this point. Men’s match was better than the Women’s for at least having a bit of excitement and blood in it, but still nothing special. AEW doing Blood and Guts in November and turning it into an absolute horror show highlighted more than ever how vacuous, sterile and patterned WWE’s version is. Just guys coming out and doing some stuff. However, credit where it’s due. If you’re not allowed to slice yourself to shit like Skye Blue, or throw yourself into a flaming table like Darby Allin, Bron Breakker still found a way to do the scariest, most dangerous spot of them all. Absolutely terrifying. “If you take my seventy five percent chance of breaking my neck, and then add sixty six and two thirds percents, I got a hundred and forty one and two thirds chance of being in a wheelchair and not paying my Sky bill in ten years.” Brock Lesnar can still fuck off. Utterly convinced the reason they didn’t use shark cages this year is because no-one wanted to be locked in there with the horrible prick. Finish was crap. Triple H must buy these black hoodies in bulk from Primark. Man has about three ideas that he spams to infinity. No wonder that Wrestlemania Campaign featured the women sitting around a table with empty plates. The greatest metaphor ever for what Hunter is, “cooking,” these days. Funniest suggestion I’ve seen for the masked attacker is that they want it to be Chris Jericho, but he’s still under contract with AEW until the end of the year, so they’ll send the Black Scorpion out there until he can come in. It would make sense in that Jericho loves doing masked angles, and it would make me laugh if Punk and Jericho end up working together when they so clearly hate each other. Hard to suspend your disbelief and accept that 2025 Chris Jericho could scale the cage that easily though. Not after a ‘Spoons breakfast! We all know the dream scenario. I know it. Punk knows it. Whoever Punk buys these Alan Partridge jackets from knows it. Praying this is a Stone Cold tease and our’ Steve whips off the mask around Royal Rumble. Stone Cold vs. CM Punk at Wrestlemania! Punk is finally rewarded for the Rollins-flavoured shit he’s eaten these last eighteen months! WWE in 2025, innit? Hope for the best. Expect the worst. Edited November 30, 2025 by Supremo Quote

Genuinely think it's because they didn't want to show the image of Lesnar "behind bars", because it becomes a very easy image to throw back at them, for obvious and very justified reasons. Quote
westlondonmist Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Would it make more sense to just have one Wargames match. I don't think it would seem as forced if you build towards it,but only one. You could still have another survivor series or an elimination match to make it work on the PPV. Even in WCW lots of them seemed forced annual matches and lots of them were shite. I would usually say they should be feud enders but the women's blood and guts kind of made a blood feud for Toni, pretty clever really. So you can definitely do something with them even if not the end. Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted November 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 30, 2025 Hours have passed and I still can’t get over that after a match involving Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, the talking point is Seth Rollins. Quote
Paid Members Callum1993 Posted November 30, 2025 Paid Members Posted November 30, 2025 Generally an awful show top to bottom. Neither of the matches warranted being in War Games. A 30 minute build up for essentially 10 minute matches once the bell rings is far too long. They need to retire it and only use it for matches that warrant it which they seem to do have done for Hell in a Cell. Theres definitely a happy medium to be found between WWE doing 4/5 matches on a show and AEW doing 14/15. Not enough matches and far too many ads particularly the 4 minute ones on Netflix. ‘Main Event’ Jey has to go down as one of the worst main eventers in history. I can understand them trying something different and giving him the opportunity but it’s been diminishing returns ever since the Royal Rumble now boiled down to awful matches, awful promos and doing his entrance mid-match. Shite. Quote

Shite. I swear ‘Main Event’ Marty Janetty would have been a better run than this. Good to see even in his penultimate match it took 5 people interfering in the match for him to lose. Super Cena indeed! What I really hated was the fake injury spot. Not that I’m a fan of them anyway, but to do the same spot that Penta did 5 days prior and, you know, GOT FUCKING INJURED FOR REALSIES, just for a spot in the match… Thought it was pretty appalling actually. Didn’t see anything else Quote
DavidB6937 Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 I didn't really have an issue with the injury spot. It's when they start doing their "real" voices and push it too far that it feels a little too much for me. In a list of all the "appalling" things they've done I'd say the spot barely registers as worth worrying about. Dom/Cena was perfect WWE bollocks. Dom doesn't need to be the best in ring. Sure there's plenty of others who have crisp offence or whatever else but performing the moves better doesn't get them over. Dom knows what the important stuff is. He's not in a company where the best wrestle. He's there to entertain and he's one of the best they've got to do that. The rest of the show was there. I was glad Bella didnt win the belt which was a fear. The two War Games matches were there too. They were as good as they could've been considering neither of them needed to happen in the first place. They book them more like Rumbles every time, but the lazy enter and do moves versions. Quote
Doog Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 So WrestleMania main events are apparently Reigns v Cody night 2 and Punk v Breakker night 1. Punk va Breakker is perfect and should rightly be the night the torch is passed so to speak and Breakker wins the belt, strap the rocket to him and you've got a proper World Champion there. Reigns/Cody again...meh. No interest in that at all, Cody has been a really boring champion, not all his fault as his opponents have been rubbish (even Cena as it was all during his weird heel months). Reigns is never there, they seem to assume he has this aura but he doesn't anymore, he's boring as well. Would rather Breakker dethrone Cody for the real belt but still. Quote

Criticise Roman all you want for not being around much or whatever but to suggest he doesn't have aura? The guy is aura. Arguably more than anyone in the company. Potentially more than anyone in the industry. Quote
Doog Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Guess it depends on your definition of aura, you're probably right, he does have one...but it's that as a dull as fuck character that has had his time. He was cool as fuck a couple years ago but now, for me, he's just dull. Charlotte Flair used to have it, felt big time when she came out. When Reigns comes out/returns for the 300th time this year, there is an aura, but its not an exciting one. Quote
