It feels odd, they've got over 44K fans attending and only 4 matches. I know the Wargames matches will go long but it still feels too low. I thought it might be a record but then remembered the last 2 Royal Rumble PLEs had 4 matches too.

There doesn't seem like there is that much interest in the show here, maybe these hype videos from WWE will help :)

The countdown show begins at 10pm:

I started watching the women’s and couldn’t understand why it seems like “full entrance with posing” is preferable to getting in and helping your partner(s) as quickly as possible. The games gone, Clive.

Not a fan of either War Games match, especially when the whole point of cage matches is to stop interference, MVP of both matches was Becky Lynch’s arse

Cena vs Dom was superb thankfully and should have gone on last, every credit to Cena getting battered by Rodriguez and taking Perez’s finish, they got their viral moment as well with Liv Morgan doing the Cena heel stare thing

Nikki Bella selling the second Devil’s Kiss made it look absolutely lethal, decent enough match

It’ll never happen but it’d be nice if they gave War Games a rest next year and did two traditional elimination tags, don’t get enough sirens going off in those though I suppose

Says a lot about one of "The Big Four" if that even exists anymore, than the last Surivor Series I remember enjoying was the one with Dolph Ziggler where Sting showed up. I don't think I could even name you a match with confindence since that one.
This one coming off the back of the Cody and Punk title runs/chases and being changed to another Roman vs Brock affair was a million steps back for a company that as always got red hot and then didn't know how to capitalise on it so went backwards.

I can’t recall exactly what year it was (before the Sting one in 2014 I can remember that much), but they were going to drop Survivor Series as a PPV at one point, but everyone threw a flap because it’s supposedly one of the “big four”, despite nothing worthwhile happening on it in years. It’s always had that that “it’s November, best have some elimination tag matches for no reason” problem that Hell In A Cell had when it was an annual PPV, only instead of Elimination matches it’s now War Games

Fair play to anyone that sat through 3 hours of that. I don't enjoy the War Games matches as they take absolutely forever, and for 40 odd minutes you're basically telling your audience "this bit doesn't really matter"

I'm sure there are some good ones in the past but not for me Clive, so most of this was skipped. Having two of the same match on the cards, like the Rumble and MITB, hurts the event.

First time seeing Las Legend and she looked decent. Every time I stopped to watch Nia Jax was the star of the match, and I didn't know Becky Lynch had changed her music.

The men's one was just as shit from what I saw.

Cena vs Dom the only thing I had interest in, and although it started slowly it built into something really good in my opinion, with a decent finish.

Didn't like the ref not counting the pin because Dom feigned injury (disqualify him then?) but the rest was all good shit.

See you for the Rumble!

First time I’ve watched since maybe Summerslam. Nothing’s changed, current WWE still isn’t for me, and I’ll not be back until the Rumble, but there were a few parts I enjoyed:

- Cena vs Dom was a fun shenanigans match

- Stephanie Vaquer is brill

- That stadium, right on the bay, as the sun was setting… absolutely gorgeous. Do more shows there.

I've not watched the show, ain't nobody got time for that.

But I did see a clip of Punk and Cody hitting a Doomsday Device on Bron, and holy fucking shit, they almost ended his career. Dropped him right on his nonce.

Need a 45 minute Stevie Richards video about how Punk and Cody need to go to NXT, to learn how to work.

Punk could finally put those Starbucks vouchers to good use.

The women’s match was abysmal and easily a worst match of the year contender (although nothing is taking that award away from the Punk / AJ Lee mixed tag match a few months ago).

What’s happened to Charlotte? It was like watching someone who’s in her rookie year. Constantly out of time, out of position, offense looked awful, defence looked awful, just really bad. Absolutely laughable when she was just staying put on all fours waiting for Kairi Sane to use her to jump on to someone in the turnbuckle! Ok maybe that’s Sane’s fault for delaying but fucking hell roll with it, forget the spot or sell or SOMETHING!

I can only assume the match was over rehearsed and rather than flow with the inherent chaos of the match they stayed still until all the pieces lined up. It doesn’t work like that for this type of match, it looks so shit. THANK FUCK we at least had IYO-SKY and Asuka in there who actually looked like they might wrestle occasionally.

Loved the Cena / Dom match. I would love to know if the fake injury spot and follow up was part of the plan or not. If it wasn’t then it’s absolutely brilliant from all involved. If it was then that’s great production although I can’t imagine anyone wants Dom taking a bump like that. The ref should have counted for three though, that would have been a great near fall

Vaquer got a decent little match out of Nikki, pretty impressed with them both to be fair

The Men’s war games was pretty good. VERY scary moment when Bron landed on his head after that Doomsday Device. You could tell Cody thought he’d just played a part in breaking someone’s neck. Somehow he was ok though, the bloke is a machine.

I was a little bit sick in my mouth when Jey Uso climbed to the top with his music playing mid match. Do they do this in his matches now? If so that’s rotten. But maybe it was just so they can have Brock’s music to interrupt it which I can accept a bit more

Shame Brock is a wrong un because he is special, but it’s just horrible seeing him on screen now.

Then we have the masked man and it’s over. I didn’t have many expectations so just let it flow over me and enjoyed it for what it was.

But in a double cage match I know what I prefer to see between a man Yeeting on top mid match or a man covered in blood sticking his middle thing up while being choked with a chain by another man covered in blood.

Venue and all the production looked great and the show was another reminder how great Cena is.

Me neither. Ludicrous.

War Games is so inconsequential for me. Teams thrown together because it’s November, hardly ever the real ending to a big feud, nothing at stake for the winners, the result simply doesn’t matter. I’ve got no reason to care who wins, so why should I watch it?
