Paid Members tiger_rick Posted August 6, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted August 6, 2025 General feeling was it was designed to embarrass him for sneezing or something in front of Vince. Who knows why though? Finkel and Ross were model employees and Vince loved nothing more than belittling them on TV. Quote

The King of Old School Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Always made me laugh when a new champion was faced with the "impossible" task of Kane or Big Show as there first feud with them trying to get over how dangerous they were. I've just seen the last 5 champions beat them, why would this one be any different? Quote
davertfnewman Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 A lot of moments being mentioned that I have zero attachment to, so I can't call them bottom of the barrel, but that period after Summerslam '97 where Bret had regained the belt for the last time, but is then shuffled down for Shawn to take over as top heel until Austin won the belt at WrestleMania the next year may be one of the most nihilistic periods I was a fan during. Austin gets the neck injury, Davey gets fucked over in the UK, Pillman dies, Bret gets screwed, Neidhart gets made a bigger joke out of, Owen can't leave, Shawn and Triple H hold the show hostage, everything has such a mean spirit to it. For me, it had gone from the best period I'd known with the Austin/Harts feud to just devoid of any joy. Quote

It was always the same with “how is anyone going to be able to eliminate Big Show/Kane/Mark Henry etc from the Royal Rumble”. Well, I’ve seen them be eliminated in every Rumble they’ve competed in. Paid Members Lorne Malvo Posted August 7, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 7, 2025 That Lashley/Zayn feud always sticks out in my mind because not only was the content awful, they had Lashley win the PPV match with a suplex which just seemed to cement Zayn as a complete loser. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted August 7, 2025 Posted August 7, 2025 I could never get past Jack Swagger as a world champion, even if it was the shit belt. Quote
