theringmaster Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 'WWE PG' There was that little period around 2008-2010, fresh of the Benoit thing they went ultra kid friendly, everything was bright colours and they even stopped matches for blood. I always remember the Summerlsam logo/poster looked like a holiday camp wrestling show. Obviously they stayed PG for a good few years but it evolved into something a bit more serious. Quote

Actually, 'WWE Champion Bradshaw' still annoys me 20 years later. Low points both. Edited August 5, 2025 by HarmonicGenerator In the barrel of champions, those two are at the bottom Quote

I believe the “one sentence” you’re looking for is “JBL is poopy.” Quote

RedTwoster Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 In between around 2019 and Vince leaving, I think WWE hit its creative low point. I genuinely couldn’t tell you what they were doing at that point; the stories were either non-existent or abysmal. The Kurt Angle/Booker T/Sharmell storyline was a real low point, particularly the line where Angle described sex with Sharmell as ‘bestiality’ Sheik Abdul Bashir was also pretty grim in TNA - specifically his theme song, which began with the sound of a plane engine. The ‘piggy James’ storyline was pretty awful on a number of levels, as were any of the angles in which Santino compared Vickie Guerrero to a hog. Anything involving Vince McMahon being taken aback by or even looking at his daughter’s breasts is pretty vomit inducing, as is any sexual angle involving Stephanie or even Linda (Bischoff making out with her, Vince making out with Trish in front of her) as you can’t help but suspect Vince was genuinely getting off at some or all of this, and it’s just nasty. Stephanie in particular was such an insanely terrible heel character. Awful to watch and always dominant. Everything this angle touched turned to complete shit. Quote
Paid Members hallicks Posted August 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 5, 2025 James Ellsworth taking down the briefcase in the first women’s MITB match. More “hilarious” Vince humour and evidence of the sheer cuntery of the man. Quote

Wasn't he a very hated guy in the back? I'm sure i read he was a bit of a d!ck so the writers would keep suggesting it to Vince knowing a)he loves it and b)how embarrassing it was for that guy. Real healthy work culture obviously. Quote

Not sure of the specifics but I am 99% certain he was an office guy. It felt like their entire idea of comedy for years was "...and then the lubed up guy comes out LMAO!!!!! And Ron Simmons says DAMN!!!!!! LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOL" Quote
