Paid Members FLips Posted May 20 Paid Members Posted May 20 Southampton’s appeal put into the shredder. Nothing oveturned. Southampton out, Boro in, 4 point deduction next season. Quote
westlondonmist Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Hull threatening legal action if they lose because they've prepared for Southampton. At least it hasn't stopped being interesting. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted May 20 Author Members Posted May 20 They honestly should've just promoted Hull. This will never stop. Fair play to Villa tonight, absolutely annihilated Freiburg with some beautiful football and beautiful goals. Preferred last years final to be honest, but pleased for them and their fans. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Yeah, congratulations to Villa on becoming the new Spurs. Don’t be offended when we pay you £130m for Morgan Rogers only to realise we have no plan for the last £120m no10 we signed. Quote
westlondonmist Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Ultimately I'm kind of glad Southampton haven't promoted (although I do feel for the fans). They've yoyod the past few years and I think it's good to see some different teams. Obviously Ipswich promoted right back but Coventry have been in league 2 fairly recently and must be 25 years since in the Premier league. Must be ten or so years since either Hull or Middlesbrough were there (I think they relegated together) and Hull been in league 1 since. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted May 20 Paid Members Posted May 20 My Dad is coming down to London for the game, so glad it didn't get rescheduled at least. It's going to cost Middlesbrough fans a fortune in travel and accommodation costs now though, surely? My Dad was saying apparently Hull have already booked out so many coaches from the North East to London that Boro are struggling to arrange transport for fans. Quote

Apparently one of the scenarios on the table was the rescheduling of the game, but that would've been massively unfair on Hull and their fans, so Boro will just have to find a way to get their fans down, they'll have to subsidise their travel for sure. What a shitshow. I feel sorry for the players involved as well, this from Scienza sums it up. hes been brilliant this year and while I'm not sure how much higher he can play, he definitely deserves a season in the Prem, and along with the rest of the squad, he must be gutted. Also one of the nicest people I've ever met (clang) Again, I'm just fucking fuming that this has affected someone close to me, and the club have to start to make amends with their fans, their staff and the wider football world. Paid Members air_raid Posted May 21 Paid Members Posted May 21 Congratulations Villa fans from all your mates down the Lane. Friendly reminder in case you’re not sure where your loyalties lie month end ; WHAT A SHOWER OF CUNTS. Quote
Rossman Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Villa's win last night means, Tammy Abraham is now the 2nd player to win Champions League, European Super League, Europa League & Europa Conference winners medals. Emerson Palmieri was the first. Quote

Seems like a bloke who happens to support Arsenal is living in Germany and watched the game with the local fans. How does that make him a cunt? Unless there's something more sinister there? Quote

I just wondered if there was something more than simple bitterness I was missing there. Apparently not. EDIT: Just to add, I actually think it's quite nice to immerse yourself in the local culture when you live abroad, and supporting the local team during a final feels like a good way to do that when the local area is presumably in a frenzy. Fair play. Edited May 21 by mim731 Extra Thoughts Quote
