Of course you all do, as you're all pals. I wouldn't expect anything less. Quote

At least we know who guesting Japanese or Mexican wrestlers are instead of doing that 'I DUNNO WHO DUH FOREIGNERS ARE!!?!!' that reeks of mild xenophobia. Anyway, great card, WHERE'S WILLOW! Quote

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 5, 2025 Can I just point something out. When @d-d-d-dAz coined the phrase it was 'Khan Ultras' not 'AEW Ultras', so get it right Ultras. Quote

He’s edging towards the light again, and a victory by doing the right thing, with the audience on his side is an important step in that story to make sure he fully embraces that light. Part of the beauty of Hangman is that we've had years of "wins and losses don't matter", and he's a wrestler for whom every win or loss is a significant event. I think taking a loss in a way that he doesn't allow to eat him up inside or send him spiraling for a month would be an equal character victory on his route to babyface redemption - though I don't think that loss would come from MJF. But maybe a Piper/Bret style "Hangman loses because he has the opportunity to go ultraviolent, but opts to take the high road"? Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted March 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 5, 2025 (edited) Reading over Wikipedia (because it’s far better than reading everyone calling each other a knob in this thread) it’s mad that in such a short history, “Revolution,” has quietly developed such a legacy. Some all-timer matches and moments. It’s probably AEW’s most consistent pay per view. Hasn’t missed yet. Revolution 2020 was aptly named, “revolution,” because the build up and the show itself was the first time in about twenty years where there was a real sense of, “fucking hell, is wrestling going to get good again?” Cody taking the ten lashes. Cody moonsaulting off the cage. Our first proper glimpse of Hangman’s internal struggle. Capped off with the Young Bucks vs. Omega and Hangman tag, and what still might be my favourite match in AEW history, Pac vs. Orange Cassidy. Wasn’t this the show where they experimented with the Coldplay/Taylor Swift wristbands that light up? They should do that again. Despite being in the depths of the Pandemic, Revolution 2021 still delivered what I’d argue was the best Cinematic match with Sting and Darby vs. Team Taz. I’ll go to my grave defending Moxley vs. Omega, Exploding Barb Wire Death Match, too. Nail the finish and that would have been remembered as a classic. It was brilliant until the fucked up ending. Moxley unable to kick out of the One Winged Angel, so he breaks the ref’s count by setting off an explosion with his foot. Genius! A match no-one ever talks about from Revolution 2022 is Young Bucks vs. Fish and O’Reilly vs. Jurassic Express. I remember that being fantastic. However, it’s understandable that this show is only remembered for featuring this. Still amazing. Still probably the highlight of his return to pro-wrestling. Still probably AEW’s greatest feud. Revolution 2023 is when we’re really off to the races. An amazing Trios match between The Elite and House of Black, Jungle Boy vs. Christian in that ridiculously fun casket match, a wild Hangman vs. Mox Deathmatch and then MJF vs. Danielson in what is not only the best Iron Man Match of all time, but by such a margin that it’s not even funny. Bryan Danielson fucking rules. Come back! And then Revolution 2024 sees a fully-formed Megastar waltz onto the scene and deliver an instant Match of the Year candidate with Ospreay vs. Takeshita, and then Sting’s Final Match. Still one of the best entrances ever. And a nice, safe, normal bump from Darby. No, you’re crying! *Now I’ve been reminded of them, the most likely candidates to beat The Hurt Syndicate are Sting’s Sons. You might hurt people, but you won’t hurt absolute hoss specimens! I love Swerve and Nana together so would be pretty heartbroken by it but if anything that's a reason for them to do it. I'm also thinking we might see a Jay White or FTR turn on Cope in the main event. Quote

Both are far more natural as heels imo so I'd be ok with either or both turning, how long has it actually been since Jay turned face though? You don't want to Big Show him. Quote
