RedTwoster Posted January 23, 2025 Posted January 23, 2025 So what’s the consensus on the power? I’m not a huge fan of it myself…if you’re a traitor, you don’t really need to pretend someone else is a traitor in order to win. If you were the other three you might even just banish the both of them to be safe. Charlotte’s best play is probably to offer to split the money with Frankie if she was to win and unofficially recruit a second traitor. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted January 23, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 23, 2025 Yeah the Seer thing is weird and I don't quite get it. Too many gimmicks. Quote
Paid Members stumobir Posted January 23, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 23, 2025 Poor Freddie, he collapsed like a gimmicked table. Not sold on The Seer, seems a bit overpowered but I guess they need to mix things up a bit, happy to see how it plays out anyway. I just hope that if they banish Charlotte then Alexander somehow manages to remain and win, he deserves it most out of the Faithfuls. Good thinking by him to help Frankie win, went a long way to helping him stay in. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted January 23, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 23, 2025 Not a fan of the Seer power either but I feel that’s more to do with the fact it revealed the only remaining Traitor. Freddie saying he never wanted to be a Traitor cos he was a shit liar came to fruition in record time didn’t it? Covering up lies with lies and all of them the worst ones he could tell. Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted January 23, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 23, 2025 The Seer is too powerful a gimmick at this late stage of the game, it's killed it for me a bit. Could have been quite fun early doors when there's loads of people still in it, but even then I'm not a fan of the game being won or lost on performances in the challenges rather than through the psychological game. I guess it could still play out in a satisfying way, but I'm far less excited for the finale than I was before tonight. Charlotte played a dangerous game throwing Freddie under the bus. It worked to banish him, but him naming her at the Round Table should be a big fucking neon sign to the rest of the faithful that she is the other traitor. Poor lad couldn't lie to save his life, after all. Quote
thevestofdeanambrose Posted January 23, 2025 Posted January 23, 2025 (edited) Echoing not a fan of the seer. Quite a deflating add to the game at this late stage. Agreed it could have worked better earlier in the game. I could be wrong but I can't see a good outcome from it. Either one is going to lie or both are lying so obviously the only way is to vote them both out to be safe. And now that dick head Leanne is probably going to take some cash home. Paid Members LaGoosh Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 (edited) Seeing Freddie collapse so quickly was an absolute joy. Fucking useless that lad. Why sign up for the game if you know your such a bad liar? But yeah, the Seer thing has kind of taken away my excitement a bit for the final. I'd like Charlotte to win it though would be happy with Alexander getting some cash - he's an overly nice weirdo but seems a genuinely good person doing it for the right reason. Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 If Charlotte can blag her way out of the mess she's in and claim the win I would be absolutely buzzing, but I just can't see it happening now. Looks absolutely nailed on that she gets banished and the show draws to a pretty tame conclusion. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 Surely the only gameplan here is offer Fran to split the winnings if she pretends Charlotte is faithful or she’ll deny it and they’ll both get voted out. It’s essentially half or nothing for Fran. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 I didn't enjoy the Seer twist at all; everything else in that episode was brilliant, with everyone jumping to all the wrong conclusions about what must have happened with Leanne, Freddie digging his own grave, and even then people getting it wrong and assuming he had already been a traitor longer than he had been. The Seer has completely thrown off the dynamic, and killed almost any intrigue for the final - if Charlotte manages to get out of it, it'll be amazing, but I can't see it happening. The only hope she has is to try and convince people that Leanne is the Traitor and lied about being murdered, and I think it's too late for that, or that Frankie is a Traitor lying about her, and I don't think that will land either. I like Frankie so would be happy for her to win, but I've gone from thinking that Charlotte was an idiot for the entirely pointless fake Welsh accent, to actively rooting for her. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 (edited) The worst thing about this whole Seer business is that if they do banish Charlotte and the Faithfuls win, then Leanna gets a cut of the money and I fucking hate her. If she wasn't part of it I don't think I'd be too bothered by which way it goes. I really do hope Charlotte manages to worm her way out of it though. I reckon if she can convince the rest of them that Frankie is lying because she's actually a Traitor, and maybe use the fact that Frankie said there was only 30 seconds left of the challenge when there was actual two minutes because she was in the lead to get the Seer power and had to make sure she got it so no one else could rumble her as the Traitor - then maybe she could get away with it. Paid Members Chris B Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 She could probably then get Alexander out as well - on the basis of him lobbying to have the seer power used on him. Traitor confirms traitor. I think she's probably screwed, though - it depends if she's given time to actually come up with a plan or not. If this is the end of the night, then they're straight to roundtable tomorrow, she MIGHT be okay. One thing that's - oddly - in her favour is that Freddie called her out with his vote. The one thing they pretty much know for certain is that is that a traitor voted for Freddie. At which point, was his vote revenge or scent-throwing. If she hones in on how upset Frankie was at voting for Freddie, and how Freddie blew kisses at her, then Frankie picking Charlotte could be part of a plan. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 (edited) I imagine it will be put to them that they can either decide to work together as Traitor and Faithful to split the winnings or chance mutual destruction. I don’t think they’ll be left to come up with it on their own. I thought giving someone a free guess at a traitor earlier in the game would be a good idea I didn’t think they’d put it in the end though where it can all fall apart so quick. Disappointed in Charlotte. She obviously chose Freddie because he was a simple patsy but the added layer of setting him up with Leanne was always going to backfire when he had an entire day to take her down with him. They’ve obviously had a word though because no one ever tips the board over on their way out like that twat did when he screwed over the greatest traitor ever, Wilf.
