Paid Members Nexus Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 Leanne deserved the win even less than Meryl did in S1. She was rude, arrogant and fucking shit at the game. Jake's just a big dumb idiot who couldn't see past Leanne Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 My interest in the show died when Charlotte got banished because it then just became how many ways do they split the money rather than me caring who won. Like that Rumble where Rey came out at 30 when everyone wanted Daniel Bryan. Really annoyed me that both Frankie and Leanne used “as a mother” as reasons to be trusted and be allowed to win. It’s not a trait, the same way being a doctor wasn’t one for being a traitor. Sad Leanne won, horrible person. Sad Alexander lost, great lad. Ideally wanted a Charlotte win, or an Alexander/Frankie/Jake split. Watching all the remaining faithfuls vote each other out for no reason was frustrating more than entertaining. Quote
TibBo Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 To be fair, the traitors should have broken them up ages ago, they were never going to vote against each other, and kind of just won by default. I’d have been much happier with it if Frankie and Alexander got some of the money, but at least they came out of the show looking like nice honest down to earth people, compared to Leanne throwing a tantrum about everything. TibBo Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 Wonder if they could do something where they get deducted cash for voting out faithfuls? Quote
RedTwoster Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 The only way Charlotte could have got out of that was by offering to split the cash with Frankie, but I don’t think Frankie would have accepted that. Deciding that Jake and Alexander must be Traitors - meaning she thought there were three in the final - was quite something, but I’m wondering if she was simply trying to form an alliance with Leanne to save her own place in the game, while trying to justify it. The original selection of Traitors was poor though, illustrated by just how good Charlotte was when she took the role - Minah, Armani and Linda simply weren’t fit to lace her boots. With that in mind, it’s a real shame that she was screwed over by such an unnecessary twist. I’m not sure she’d have survived even if it hadn’t happened, but we’ll never know now. The fact no one questioned Leanne is pretty mad. She was an arsehole, but that behaviour probably helped hiker win the game, as everyone outside of Alexander was terrified of her. Quote

I'm fairly certain the producers of the show would not have accepted that either and would have cut any such conversations out in the edit. It's probably in the rules that such agreements can't be made, it's certainly against the spirit of the game. Shame the way it played out, pretty much exactly what I thought would happen after last night. The power of The Seer turned out to be a bit of a poison chalice for Francesca. I'm glad that Jake at least took half the pot. Quote
Paid Members stumobir Posted January 24, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 24, 2025 (edited) Predictable and unsatisfying end to the game. Watching 30 minutes of “who will Leanne pick to share the money with” was unbearable. The way she talked to Alexander at the roundtable, not even letting the dude make his case, was really shitty behaviour. He didn’t stand a chance, unfortunately. His calm and measured approach, and ability to play it as just a game, was antithesis to hers. She came across as an obnoxious bully the whole time, gutted she won. Happy for Jake though, a bit dim but seems decent enough. I was rooting for Frankie for all of two minutes until she turned on that “as a mother” patter. The game is more fun to watch when people are trying to play detective, using what logic they can, leave the emotional shite at the door, please. Hopefully The Seer is binned for next series, not really in the spirit of things for a good Traitor to be completely undone by nothing more than chance. Overall, I’d say it’s been the weakest of the three series; poor original traitors, The Seer, too many unlikables, Joe, uncomfortable treatment of some players and, generally, just a weaker group. Virtually everybody on here seems to agree that it ruined the show, so I thought I would take a look outside of our little bubble and check what was being said on Twitter about it. Pretty much the same consensus there. Hopefully the producers hear the feedback for next time. Quote
Kfogg1991 Posted January 24, 2025 Posted January 24, 2025 I've never been as deeply angry and disappointed with a final of a reality show until tonight. What they were thinking inserting a new twist (being the only word without swearing) at the very end which had no other outcome than ruining the entire premise and the individual actions of everyone still shocks me now. Until that disaster they absolutely smashed it out the park and it was the greatest and most entertaining season by far and compared to the other two combined in my opinion of course I'll add. While two out of the three original traitors sucked ass it was saved by minah playing it to perfection only to recruit the absolute greatest and most unexpected stand out of the bunch with Charlotte. She went from uneasy and unwanted traitor into the most impressive and intelligent player we've had, she without question deserved the win and seriously earned it from the start having so much heat and surviving by the skin of her teeth too gain the trust and unanimous belief she was a faithful until she was fucked over by the producers and unfairly shoved in a situation and position absolutely no one could win and turn in their favour. What a shocking letdown Quote

It's viable in the TV show but maybe once only at the halfway mark. At the point it was introduced it detonated all the tension from the final, as Charlotte was, to put it mildly, fucked. But yeah Leanne winning was awful. It was so edited to be the Leanne show too. I'm glad I don't have to watch her tease her fringe between finger and thumb every 8 seconds now. Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted January 25, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 25, 2025 Her main character energy was infuriating even right up until she’d won. I think every sentence she said had some form of “me” or “I” in it. You do wonder if she was just incredibly paranoid or spitefully selfish though, because down to the last 4 she thought everyone except her was a traitor. I have no doubts though if she could have walked away the sole winner she would have voted Jake off too. Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted January 25, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 25, 2025 I can understand the paranoia you'd be feeling at that point though, it's a big prize pot and the thought of one of the other players walking away with it all and leaving you with nothing would be absolutely sickening. It's a game where you have to think selfishly, or you're probably going home with nothing. Quote
LEGIT Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 I thought Leanne was one of the rudest and most self-entitled people I've ever seen on TV. Least deserving winner ever. Won by default rather than skill or tactics Quote

If you’re a strong faithful, you’re probably going to be killed early on, whereas if you’re posing absolutely no threat to the Traitors then you’re probably coasting to the finals. We saw it in the first series with Meryl who I don’t think made a single useful contribution for the entire game. Quote
Paid Members Nexus Posted January 25, 2025 Paid Members Posted January 25, 2025 I think the Seer power would be a good one to be offered every day during the prize task as an either or with the Shield - the Faithfuls can either go for Seer or a Shield. It adds another layer of intrigue to the challenges. Quote
