Members SuperBacon Posted February 23, 2024 Members Posted February 23, 2024 This is worth a watch as the presenters seem really out of their depth IMO. Also found out today that one of the pre match and half time comperes at Spurs is a Gbeebies presenter, which is great. Between this and another prominent Spurs podcast having Nigel Farage pop on their show, it hasn't been the best 24 hours for the fan base ? Quote

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted March 18, 2024 Paid Members Posted March 18, 2024 What strikes me about this 'conflict' is that there's news of another Israeli atrocity coming in almost by the hour. Maybe it's the immediacy of the internet to get news out there, but I don't even watch or read the news or spend much time on Twitter at all these days. But just checking my notifications in the morning, within the first five tweets there will be something like this. Somebody give a justification for bombing a specialised surgeries hospital. Quote
Paid Members BigJag Posted March 18, 2024 Paid Members Posted March 18, 2024 There is no justification. These are terrible times. That we are having to witness. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 This is surreal to watch. Looks more out of a movie than anything. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted March 26, 2024 Author Posted March 26, 2024 Looks like one of those 'Bridge building' games for your phone... Quote

Merzbow Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 I'd imagine there's already claims by weirdos of it being a controlled demolition. Quote

Paid Members waters44 Posted March 26, 2024 Paid Members Posted March 26, 2024 I watched that video earlier thinking they were expecting the bridge to fall, which is why they were filming it. Somehow didn’t spot the massive boat in shot. But I’ve just seen a longer video where you can see the boat hitting it and it falling straight away. Absolutely terrifying! Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted March 26, 2024 Members Posted March 26, 2024 (edited) Now this isn't me with a tin foil hat on, but I'm amazed that the whole bridge falls after one collision. "Well obviously Bacon it's a massive boat hitting a bridge!!!" Sure, but I would've thought boats hitting bridges is actually more common than you think, and they were structurally more sound than that. SuperLeTissier more like. Edit: ok I've reconsidered. That'll do it. Edited March 26, 2024 by SuperBacon The bridge is over the bridge is over budda bye bye Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted March 26, 2024 Paid Members Posted March 26, 2024 When the structural engineers on the scene use the word "Flimsy" to describe the construction of the bridge it can't come as a surprise that it fell down like that, and I don't know about you lot but when I cross a bridge I like to hear words like "Robust" or "Sturdy" not "Flimsy" regarding its construction.
