AEW announced today that Saturday Collision will premiere on Saturday, June 17 at 8pm ET via TNT. The show was unveiled by Kathleen Finch, Chairwoman & Chief Content Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery’s US Networks Group, during their 2023 Upfronts presentation from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The live, two-hour in-ring Collision show will air every Saturday night from 8-10pm on TNT. AEW touted the following wrestlers as the headliners: Miro, ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo. Others featured on promotional material seen below include AEW World Champion MJF, AEW World Trios Champions The House of Black, AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR, and AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, which is in line with today’s report, seen below, that said champions will be featured on both shows despite the now-planned hard roster split.

AEW President, CEO, General Manager & Head of Creative Tony Khan commented on the new show.

“With the addition of ‘AEW: Collision’ on TNT, I’m extremely proud that a Turner network will be the home of Saturday night wrestling for the first time in more than two decades,” Khan said in today’s press release. “The debut of ‘Collision’ is significant across numerous sectors including television, wrestling, entertainment and sports, and reinforces AEW as the bold property we envisioned when we launched in 2019. ‘Collision’ will deliver live every Saturday night more of what fans and viewers tell us they want – athleticism, big personalities, exciting storylines and hard-hitting wrestling action, all of which have become synonymous with AEW.”

It was called, "The Huts," in our school. A separate unit for all the kids who liked to set things on fire. This is Saturday Night The Huts.

I'd bet my left bollock that's not the finalised poster and another one will be released tonight with CM Punk replacing Orange Cassidy.

The branding is gorgeous. Absolutely no messing about. Just rip Nitro off entirely. Why not. Brilliant. Bischoff is probably furious.

Fair play though. Tony's called the bluff of all the sulky, moaning bastards. Think you've got more to offer? Here's the biggest opportunity you're ever going to get. Hopefully, it results in a good show. Punk and The Elite competing to put on the best shows has a lot of potential, provided Punk remains healthy and The Elite don't fuck off to WWE in a sulk. Would anyone be shocked if they did? Fucker slagged everyone off, threw punches, and has been rewarded with his own show, featuring all his mates.

Imagine. Triple H revealed to be playing 4D chess all along. Don't have Cody beat Roman when The Elite vs. The Bloodline remains a possibility!

A couple of news sites and others have been using this banner. You'll notice it is the same Thunder Rosa pic which gives it some credence but it is just an old Rampage promotional item (lightning & orange/blue divide should be a giveaway). Hangman being on Collision with his history with Punk and Scorpio Sky's inclusion aren't talking points at the minute.

I'm quite looking forward to having wrestling to watch every Sunday morning, but it's a shame that it presumably brings an end to Saturday-night PPVs for AEW.

They’re counter-programming AEW’s next Pay Per View with an NXT show. This probably suggests more WWE pay per views on Saturday Night, just to fuck with them.
