That would give the big moment and somewhat reset things back to the status quo fairly quickly. I've also advocated for a week long title reign for Sting, starting at All In and ending at All Out. I think it'll make for a dramatic title match full of bells and whistles, and an incredible moment where Sting bags the three-count and the big gold belt, and 70k+ lose their fucking minds. 1 hour ago, DavidB6937 said: Let's not turn it into WCW already please. This AEW run has been Sting's best work since the 90's, and what better way to celebrate it than to pay homage to WCW's 1993 UK tour, where Sting beat Vader for the World Heavyweight title in Wembley Arena and then dropped it six days later back to Vader in Dublin. WWE jumped the WCW shark years ago, so AEW playing rhyming couplets with a golden period for WCW will do AEW, and Sting and MJF and it's fanbase, no harm at all. Vamp
I'd be well up for a Sting title win. Can't see it happening though. Perfectly happy if they want to leave the Punk main event for All Out.
Healy52003
Jericho vs Sting no DQ match would be some banter
Pinc
A Sting title win is a mad shout. All for giving him a big moment but it would devalue MJF and the belt to have a sexagenarian take it from him even briefly. If you really want the rhyme with the WCW tour from ‘93 then having Darby unseat MJF for a few days with Sting as back-up would be a better shout. And I’m not even a Darby fan. Sting winning it would be a massive improvement.
Guest
Triple H lost to Vince and done alright after as champion when he won it back. mJF cheating in Chicago to win it back is as class a scenario as they can do with two big shows in a week. Sting thinks he's got him with the Scorpion Death Lock, the other ref sees MJF's hand was under the ropes when he was tapping, so the match restarts, MJf uses the ring, or some other cheky heelishness to beat Sting and retain. I have a feeling it'll be Sting Vs Jericho in some form if Sting's knees are good to go, otherwise maybe protect him in another tag match. I'd love to see him wrestle Jarrett. Presumably they'll record the show, and there'll be matches involving people who are feuding, but nothing too definitive so they can stick it up online to watch on demand, maybe they'll stream it on Fite so people can watch in North America while they have their lunch/breakfast. Healy52003
Hoping this event doesn't end up turning into a bit of a farce and Tony hasn't bitten off more than he can chew Having All Out only a week later, not having a broadcast sorted (not that it would matter too all of us going) and apparently merch stock at live events has been pretty low

Then about a week or so before the show started, all their exisitng broadcast partners confirmed where it would be. They knew this wouldn't be a PPV. They've got something lined up. The exact details don't really need to be known right now as all it does is take away from pushing tickets. Also have to get Blood & Guts and Death Before Dishonor out of the way which are being promoted for the next week. Then it's a clear path to All In. When it was first announced some were speculating that it was going to stream on MAX in the US, but nothing has been official so far, the lack of which lead some folk to think it was going to be “just a house show”. Yeah, cos you draw your biggest crowd ever in one of the worlds most famous stadiums and then don’t put it on TV in some form. It’ll be shown in some way but as others have said we might just have to wait until a week or so out before they confirm it
