Paid Members Jazzy G Posted April 4, 2023 Paid Members Posted April 4, 2023 His announcement is that next week he will have a huge announcement. It worked for Dixie Carter. Quote
Infinity Land Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 It's that there's a Battle of the Belts this week and he finally knows when it will air. Quote
Merzbow Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 One of these days he'll just yell "Ten Ten Ten". Quote
Infinity Land Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 It's actually a really good card tonight in terms of the matches & promoted segments. Of course everyone's get hyped for things they want to happen, which might sour it. It's not just a Saturday show anymore, it's the AEW Women show with Mercedes Mone & Bayley coming in. Juice v. Starks is just a set-up Jay White debuting. Whipped up by TK of course. Quote

He had spoken about wanting to run a show at Craven Cottage, which would tie in with the language he’s using. AEW’s first stadium show and first UK show would be quite the milestone, to be fair, if that’s what it happens to be. Whatever it happens to be, the vast majority of Tony Khan’s ‘big announcements’ have delivered, I think; and others have been entirely justifiable to promote in advance. Quote
Guest Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 (edited) Jay white seems a lock on to debut during the Juice match, only reason to hold it off for a big Venue. anywhere other than craven cottage please , I want a full venue not a chance taken on filling a stadium albeit a smaller one Edited April 6, 2023 by Louch Quote
Infinity Land Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Does perhaps tee up the Craven Cottage show. Quote
Paid Members Nick James Posted April 5, 2023 Paid Members Posted April 5, 2023 Is this Tony's big announcement? Quote

Infinity Land Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 I suppose lost in all the London news has been Jay White signing. Maybe it's just me and the way the debut took place, but my reaction was that he didn't want to be there. People have speculated that Juice was just the set up man for Jay from the very first interaction with Starks weeks ago. So this has potentially been in the works for a while. It's just with Jay White so publicly ending his relationship with NJPW. It felt like he was WWE bound. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted April 6, 2023 Paid Members Posted April 6, 2023 I haven't seen any of his NJPW stuff but Jay White really impressed me when he did a few matches last year so I'm pleased he's signed, AEW needed a few more strong heels on the roster so this is good news. Weird way to start the show though. Quote
Guest Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) Stayed up for the show as off this week and enjoyed it. With debut and announcements it felt more raw after mania than raw did not sure where White will fit in, he should be headline level but that’s rammed at the moment with BCC, MJF , Jericho fighting for his place etc. he’s too good to get lost in the shuffle but I do fear it already. Good matches across the show, could have done without eyepatch angle 5 in 4 years but guess they need to write off the elite until they all come back when Matt has healed up edited to add- SUE POP !!!! Some reaction her and the minivan got again edit 2 - I thought Christian was on his way out after that sell job for Jungle Boy, not sure Luchasaurus still fits in aew, a tag team with Archer would give them something fresh in that division Edited April 6, 2023 by Louch Quote

When did FTR Bald go on the Steve Corino diet? I know he's never been ripped but he looks like he spent a lot of time down the kebab shop buying fish and chips. Quote
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted April 6, 2023 Paid Members Posted April 6, 2023 TK Looking at the reaction and brought in the big guns and guaranteed rating poppers. No, not Jay White, Sue and the mini van. Cracking episode. The MJF Segment made me laugh and was down well, the matches were all decent and we got storyline progression. The main event was well produced. Really thought FTR were losing it multiple times and they squeak at the win. Great show. Quote
