Paid Members gmoney Posted January 1, 2023 Paid Members Share Posted January 1, 2023 What's a decent gift for someone who's done you a favour, but you don't know that well? In this case a residents association director (unpaid position). The go to is probably a bottle of wine, but as a recovering alcoholic I hate getting booze as a gift, and I don't know if this person drinks either, so don't want to risk that. My next route one thought was box of chocolates, but they're a kickboxer in very good shape, so chances are high they might not want something like that either. What small gift can you get for someone who you don't know very well?

I've done this a couple of times for people in this scenario and it always go down nicely. Alternatively -
Vamp
If I was a kickboxer in great shape I'd love to receive chocolate as a gift because then I've got an excuse to eat chocolate. Edited January 1, 2023 by Vamp

Dunno if you know them that well, but if you know they have houseplants, or maybe a coffee machine, something to do with that? New pods, or a few bags of beans. Obviously don't go buying them new bedding or something as that would be weird, but that could be nice, something for their home. Â

deathrey
On the houseplant idea, they have some awesome pineapple plants in Asda for a tenner, I'd love to recieve one of those. They look really cool! Edited January 1, 2023 by deathrey
