Merzbow
Kentaro Miura, best known for writing the comic Berserk since 1989 and was still being published today has died at 54. It's one of those mangas that achieved a cult status even with those that don't really read the medium for it's extremely dark more Western style of fantasy, it makes GoT look tame in comparison in nearly all ways. It was probably the number one inspiration behind the 'Souls series of games, too.

It was probably the number one inspiration behind the 'Souls series of games, too. It's very grim, lots of dark, nightmarish, grotesque demons and monsters. Not to mention some horrendous stories about what happens to Guts growing up. Nearest comparison I can think of in the West would be the 2000AD series Slaíne. Merzbow
And home to some of the best fantasy art ever drawn, some of those double pages are outstanding with far more grotesque detail than you'd imagine. You can definitely see what inspires him, I wouldn't be surprised if Hellraiser was a huge influence especially with the God Hand.

Wright who will mostly be remembered for playing the role of Sebastian the crab in Disney's The Little Mermaid has passed away. That was an iconic role in Disney films and I was unaware that "Under the Sea" which he sang won an Academy Award for Best Original Song back in 1989. Keith Houchen
Ned Beatty. Was in two of the only superhero films that were good as a brilliant stooge, squealed like a pig in Deliverance, and was a shoe in for Bill Dauterive if there was ever a King Of The Hill live action film. He really could play them all.
