Also watched the first few of the new Only Murders In The Building and it continues to be an absolute delight. Martin Short in particular is wonderful

Yeah just a real comfort blanket of a show. Though I saw Cara Delevigne was in an episode so into a sunny day must some rain trickle every once in a while.

Better Call Saul this week went by in a flash yet managed to cram so much character work into 50 minutes I couldn't quite believe it. 2 episodes left and I'm not sure I am ready for this to end. Someone compared the show to THE GODFATHER 2 in relation to Breaking Bad and I know what they mean.

Amy Schumer pops up as well. More a thunderstorm then a trickle of rain, though so far (touch wood) she’s been in it minimally

Finished up Blackbird and Paul Walter Hauser basically cements his place as this generations greatest eyes actor. Nothing groundbreaking, just a fascinating story told really well by its two leads.

I’ve quickly become obsessed with The Offer on Paramount Plus. The story of the making of The Godfather based on upstart producer Al Ruddy’s experience. Miles Teller plays Al Ruddy but everyone is great, it’s like the Oceans Eleven of scene stealing. Particularly Matthew Goode who gets to be Robert Evans.

I've been watching Bosch on Amazon Prime the last few weeks. It's certainly not original (in fact it ticks off almost every detective series cliché you can think off) and the lead actor looks too much like James Nesbitt for comfort, but its very enjoyable and oddly satisfying. Its got a few people from The Wire in it, as well as sharing some writers. Marlo from it plays the main characters partner, and is so loveable that its unbelievable if you ever saw his sociopathic performance in the other show. It wouldn't work if the guy playing Bosch was shit, and he is a very odd actor making some very strange choices, but it somehow comes together.

Anyone watched Killing It? Loved the first two episodes. Craig Robinson dserves a big hit and I hope this is it, he's so likeable and funny.

We started watching Keep Breathing on Netflix and it's decent. No surprises until, at some point, there will obviously be some huge shock in her backstory but it's well made and Melissa Berrera is really good.

Hill Street Blues just gets better as it goes on. Such a rich mixture of characters and still ahead of many things being made today.

I've nearly finished King of the Hill! Just two episodes left. How long's it taken me? I think I started early last year. The final series has been a reasonable step up as well, which is good.

Finished Tacoma FD, and it's got that consistent quality running all the way through it that makes it such an easy watch without ever being outright hilarious. I hope Hassie Harrison is having a really good weekend.

Hadn't heard of this, but if Melissa Barrera's in it I'll definitely give at least the first episode a go.

We just finished the first season of Hacks on Prime Video. It's really good - Jean Smart in particularly thoroughly deserves all the accolades she's been getting for it. Funny and sharp and makes you really care what happens to the characters.

Felt like living it up a bit tonight, so treated myself to a bit of Who Wants To Be A Celebrity Millionaire on Challenge. Next in the hot seat, please give a big hand for Max Clifford.

Join me tomorrow night to celebrate the efforts of a Savile/Harris team, probably.

Weekly "fucking hell Better Call Saul is incredible" post.

One left ?

All the awards for everyone involved. Kims breakdown on the bus (along with everything she did in the episode) was just amazing.

BETTER CALL SAUL Probably its best ever episode?

Spoiler

I don't care about awards usually, but fuck off if Rhea Seehorn doesn't win fucking everything you can win for this performance. Its nuts its taken them this long to even nominate her for an EMMY. Also Odenkirk is bloody brilliant. He's playing three characters all at once at times.

@chokeoutmight want to put that in spoilers

Have you made it to To Sirloin With Love yet? I know I say it incessantly but it truly is the greatest final episode of any TV show ever

I've also finished the first series of Better Call Saul and thought it was brilliant. Howard might be one of the most unlikeable characters I've ever come across. I hope Jimmy kicks the shit out of him at some point.

Been blitzing Better Call Saul this week (have a 2 week gap between jobs so have some time on my hands) averaging a series a day, halfway through series 4.

I might have been a bit harsh on Howard, he's a shit, but he's not that bad.

I'm enjoying this a lot more than Breaking Bad (loath to compare the two) and I think the difference is that I never ever rooted tor Walter, whereas I am constantly rooting for Jimmy, even when he's being reprehensible.

I want Jimmy to succeed, whereas Walter was so cold, I wanted him to lose most of the time.

Also, being a huge Sunny fan, I marked out hard when:

Spoiler

The waiter from Guiginos and Uncle Jack popped up in the same scene!!!

Also, I really love the show but all the stuff with

Spoiler

The Salamancas, Nacho etc, for me slows the show down a lot, and I'm forever wanting it to focus back on Jimmy, Kim, Mike (even though he is intrinsic to that storyline)

Cant wait to catch up with everyone else, reckon I'll be there by Sunday!

Me and the wife have been on a bit of a procedural police show groove. Ish. The last few months have seen us binge Lucifer, The Mentalist, and Bones.

I'm utterly unapologetic about them all!

Get some Bosch down you!
