WyattSheepMask Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 A solid RAW overall, but I’m not sure how I feel about putting the belt on Io. I like Io don’t get me wrong, but Rhea vs Bianca one on one is a much more interesting/appealing match than Bianca vs Io or the dreaded Triple Threat. Plenty of time for them to make something of it mind you, but I’m not on board with it at the moment. Shame there’s no Japanese Shampoo commercial for Styles and Kross to be feuding over. Quote
Paid Members JLM Posted March 4, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 4, 2025 Weirdly enough, despite not attending, I do remember seeing Scorch’s friend there. Might have been on TV. Opposite the hard cam. Had a sign saying “It’s a a shame The Dart couldn’t be here.” Wasn’t sure what it all meant at the time. I’m happy to help with the investigation in any way I can. Quote

Doing the lords work JLM, appreciate you trying to crack the case! @DavidB6937 because I went to bed after the first hour and didn’t read it properly earlier, I just found out Io won the belt! Ballsy move at this time of year. Is she that over and I’ve not noticed? I mean I think she’s great in ring, but unless it’s still going to be a triple threat, I’m surprised they let her win the belt now rather than Mania, unless it’s a transitional run? Quote

Is that season starting soon? I hope so. ”People wanted me to lose my job because I love America.” Being utterly shit at your job probably plays a part too, you annoying prick. Speaking of Pat, I noticed the WWE Youtube account put up a preview of one of the episodes of Stephanie's new ESPN+ show 'Stephanie's Places' featuring Pat: Quote

I genuinely have no idea what they're doing with her. She hasn't really had much in the way of in depth storylines or feuds lately. There's certainly nothing that is culminating at Mania for her so no there's really nothing beyond a fairly decent match she could have with Belair and potentially Ripley too. Only thing I'm really holding on to is maybe they have something better for Rhea to do and so they needed the belt off her and didn't have much else going on. But yeah I would expect it to be a fairly short reign with her losing it to Bianca and then the title moves on to being involved in wherever the Jade and Naomi stuff goes maybe. Quote
digforvictory Posted March 4, 2025 Posted March 4, 2025 A TV show starring Stephanie Mcmahon and Pat McAfee sounds absolutely fucking nightmarish. Quote

I've got a feeling this is just a curve ball before Mania. I'm 99% sure that Rhea will be champion again and we'll have a 1 on 1 match. I wasn't aware that Sky was particularly over outside of thirsty guys online with an Asian fetish. A triple threat sounds like a crap idea in this instance and I can't think of anyone from the past who would seem like a genuine threat to Rhea, The typical Trish, Lita, Bella group would need some expceptional storytelling and Becky was last year. Seems like another thing that Triple H enjoyed from the attitude era that he's pulled out of his old emotions journal to do again. A lot these potential multi-man matches also seem like they're trying to save a few big matches for whatever PLE's are coming after Mania. I notice that's awfully quiet up to Summerslam which makes me think there's potentially some big overseas events or to be suddenly sprung on us which would benefit from getting what we didn't get at Mania. Again, another Triple H "back in my day rerun" from when one of the reasons they held of Rock/Triple H 1 on 1 at Mania was to boost Backlash. Quote
The King of Old School Posted March 5, 2025 Author Posted March 5, 2025 Is there a Saturday Nights Main Event before Mania? Hoping they do a Rhea/Sky rematch there if so and either Rhea reclaims the belt or as someone else mentioned they somehow go back to Rhea/Dom and have him cost her again leading to an intergender match at Mania. Anything other than a damn triple threat. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted March 5, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 5, 2025 Still haven’t recovered from that CM Punk promo. Best thing he’s done since returning to WWE. Even gives his best AEW work a run for its money. You assume he doesn’t get to tear Cena and Rock up to that degree unless that’s the direction going forward. Imagine a Summer where we get Babyface CM Punk vs. Heel John Cena for the WWE Title. Or even a Cody and Punk vs. Cena and Rock Tag match! And have that all lead to Punk vs. Cody at next year’s Mania. Smackdown’s current form leaves a lot to be desired, but they’ve still definitely got enough hot stuff in their back pocket to carry them for another couple of years. Quote

Selfishly, I'd love that too. On 12/16/2024 at 10:22 AM, air_raid said: Rhea finally wrestles Dom one on one and beats him. If there's one thing I love more than CM Punk, it's being right. Sadly it only happens 52% of the time. Quote

Isn't all the fun currently anchored by the men seeking SmackDown's title, though? Raw's top feud is Gunther vs an Uso for the European title. Quote
The King of Old School Posted March 5, 2025 Author Posted March 5, 2025 Not sure if it's been mentioned but Karrion Kross styling his hair to be a mirror image of whoever he is talking to (Sami, AJ) I thought was a funny little note. Quote

Incredible delivery and brilliant content. Reminded me of Cen's rebuttle to The Rock in 2010 or 2011, which was fantastic and had similarly accurate observations about the former Great one. 4 hours ago, Supremo said: Imagine a Summer where we get Babyface CM Punk vs. Heel John Cena for the WWE Title. They speculated that on Top Rope Nation's Elimination Chamber review. Now that's a marquee. I have a question, think I'll make it a new thread though. Oooooh.... Quote
