Paid Members RedTwoster Posted March 11, 2025 Paid Members Posted March 11, 2025 I’d like WWE to drop the ‘people arriving at the arena’ opening to every bloody show, or at least vary how they start their programming. It’s beyond dull at this point. Triple H has generally done a great job building up to Wrestlemania since taking over booking, but this year I’m just not feeling it. Rhea/Bianca excited me, and would feel like the perfect match to end night one. Adding Iyo Sky to the mix, with a title change this close to Wrestlemania, brings the match down. And I don’t like the fact the winner of Elimination Chamber has won their way into a triple threat. Similarly, Reigns/Rollins/Punk does nothing for me. It’s would feel like a star-studded main event on one of the b-shows, but at Wrestlemania it just feels like a waste of all three. The fact they’ve passed up Reigns/Punk in favour of accommodating Rollins really frustrating. By making it a triple threat, you lose the storyline intrigue that would be brought through Paul Heyman’s connection to both men; and even if they play into that, the addition of Derek Zoolander’s badly dressed brother removes much of the impact that would have. If they’re going with Balor/Breakker next week, I’m going to predict that Triple-threatamania will get another three person addition, that being Breakker vs Balor vs Dom. I’m actually OK with that one, if it culminates in Dominik finally winning a non-NXT singles title. Here’s hoping the Cena appearance next week heats things up a bit. Quote
The Dart Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 I don't know why, but I do find it slightly amusing that Cena's first appearance after his heel turn is going to be in Brussels. You'd think they must have tried to have him available for MSG, but I guess it wasn't possible. Quote

If Cena is still off filming in Budapest, it's a much shorter hop to Brussels, so I imagine that's a factor in getting him on some of the European shows rather than at MSG. AndyUK Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 I liked the Cage match but thought the finisher kick outs were a bit much. It also seems likely we’re getting another triple threat with Breaker/Balor/Dom too in addition to Reigns/Punk/Rollins and Iyo/Rhea/Bianca. Not sure why everything is working out that way this year. Plus there's plenty more triple threat's they can add yet with the US title and the Tag Titles etc. Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 The Triple Threat will be epic. Especially when Heyman turns on Roman and sides with Spoiler Seth Quote

I’d expect them to form an alliance with Hollywood Cena and The Rock at some point too with Logan Paul. If we’re lucky we’ll get HHH as the leader of the WWE Ultras but he has a legit excuse not to take any bumps so he’ll be immune from criticism for not showing his arse. Quote
wordsfromlee Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 I presume theres loads of triple threats because that haven't booked the obligatory get-as-many-people-on-the-card-for-a-payday ladder match that they often have at Mania. Quote

I don’t think that’s the case - they’ve not done that for a while, and if they’re really wanted to, they still could. Ultimately, it only adds a small number of people to the card anyway. 56 minutes ago, TheScarlettChad said: The Triple Threat will be epic. If Cena does win the title, they’re probably going to need someone to essentially act as his representative while he’s not around, and he seems about as likely a choice as anyone. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted March 11, 2025 Posted March 11, 2025 The thing is, Seth descending in to Hangman style madness over losing everything and then Cody palling around with Roman tipping him over the edge could have been great and if he does go that way with losing to Punk and Roman being the final nail in his sanity he’d be justified but you know you’re not getting a serious brutal mad man you’re getting the cackling barely any different Liberace Seth who just cheats more. Oh sorry, I took that as a reference to Money in the Bank, or the Andre the Giant Battle Royale, when they really did ram in as many wrestlers as they could. Must admit that I forgot about that match last year. But still, the triple threats don’t really compensate for that - they only really add a small number of people to the card. I think it’s simply a creative choice, and it’s not one I’m a fan of. Edited March 11, 2025 by RedTwoster Quote
