Agree on Sami, but thought there were quite a bit of the Uso's delivery that wasn't reacted to at all.

I actually think this is a feature of most shows these days, probably as a symptom of newer, more casual fans having been drawn in over this recent 'boom' period. People go mad for the music and catchphrases, but often times even the biggest stars are delivering promos to absolute crickets until they get to the point.

Is Smackers three hours then? God help us if so. No star power. Goodbye brand split.

They’ve not confirmed that one way or the other, but I found Smackdown really enjoyable during its b-brand days; and Raw has also benefitted from being the secondary brand, in my opinion. If this is true (and happens), you’re basically going to end up in a situation where the top names on the current rosters more or less swap shows.

EDIT:

As far as Jacob Fatu is concerned, it seems he’s reached out to the charity to apologise (link to Wrestlinginc)  - and, as you’ll see below, has repaid the money.

It’s only fair to put the new info in here.

That whole Uso/Zayn segment was brilliant, I just wish they had done it in front of a real audience and not in Saudi.

Is it accurate to view Saudi Arabia as not a "real audience" anymore?

I've not seen Raw so can't really comment on that specifically, but it struck me watching Crown Jewel that it seemed to be a pretty hot crowd with loads of people in WWE t-shirts, singing along to Orton's music, knowing all the chants etc.

It's a long way removed from that first Saudi show which was watched by a bunch of sheiks sat round on sofas and opened by Triple H & John Cena working a super basic 10 minute match that was allegedly designed to teach the audience what a pro wrestling match was like.

There seems to be a genuine fanbase there now, and if they're being forced into it by the regime they're doing a very convincing job of it.

They've always had a genuine fan base there much like any country that receives their TV, but it's still a bunch of sportswashing blood money bollocks that a lot of people just accept because it seems part of the furniture now and really fuck all can be done about it and people are content. They went to Saudi for a show barely after a journalist was killed and tried to dance about the situation. They might put on good matches there now, but it's still paid shows with cock and bull trinket prizes awarded (Best in the World, those giant Super Saudi Champion of the Kingdom belts etc)

I've decided I'm going to watch all four main WWE / AEW shows next week and it's all @Supremo and @JLM's fault for their brilliant write-ups and borderline psychotic enthusiasm and positivity. Bastards.

In preparation I watched a bit of Raw last night when I gave up on Mecha No Mistake on Rayman Origins (how the FUCK you supposed to do that speed run) but it was Saudi so the crowd were a bit rubbish and they were chanting Whoomp! There It Is so I could only take so much. Like the most important bits, like the Bloodline stuff and Damian Priest winning. Good to see them teasing some future stuff between Bianca (who is still fantastic, I note) and Jade as well, and Raquel Rodriguez is like a different person in her new heel role. When she starts showing her back muscles again, it's all over.

But, ahh Damian. Good to see they're not letting him back down the card. Put the belt back on him. It's the only thing that makes sense in the world right now.

Looks like they are definitely going with 5 on 5 at War Games with all the teases last night.

Completely fucked this Bloodline match, didn't need anything more than the 4v4 we have now.

It definitely should have just been left at 4 v 4 it made perfect sense but seen as it seemingly is now going to be 5 v 5 the only logical person to add to OG Bloodline that fits the story and doesn't just shoehorn someone in is Cody and then I'd have to guess KO would be the only person who really fits the bill to be the 5th for Solos Bloodline team

That's assuming Orton is off Survivor Series selling the pildriver and they can have the KO vs Randy match down the line at either Saturday Nights Main Event or at the Rumble.
