Mr Kennedy Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Ooooh, I hope Drew OK’d everything with Punk beforehand. Felt a bit going into business for himselfy. ? Quote
Merzbow Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 I dunno, maybe it's just me but it felt like another safe WWE produced version of the Hangman promo. Two guys just saying their lines. Quote

I have no doubt that one of Hunters many assurances to Punk to get him back in, is that nobody will be allowed to use a TV platform to make him look like a dick, especially not live TV. They definitely had a professional chat beforehand - if anything I imagine Punk may have suggested the very lines you allude to. He’s got a good brain for “you say this” because he knows how his character reacts to X or Y and that’s always how the best face to face stuff works when both guys know where the give and take is. Factotum Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Triple H must bloody love that Hangman promo. They've copied it twice! Quote

d-d-d-dAz Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 What are they doing with Jinder Mahal? Is his thank you for showing arse for The Rock another World Title feud? Do they think with how big the social numbers were that Jinder is now a big deal? Are the TV rights up in India again? Absolutely nonsensical that they keep trying with Jinder. He's nearly as unconvincing a performer as Drew McIntyre. Yeah. Have that. You thought we could agree on something but actually I snuck in another shot at Drew. Terrible shitearse that he is. Quote

Absolutely nonsensical that they keep trying with Jinder. Jinder was a worse "out of nowhere" run than JBL. At least JBL evolved into a humourous figure of ridicule akin to Honky. Road Dogg's talked in the past about how he thinks it was great TV, further proof that he, like Attitude peer Bully Ray, should be absolutely ignored when it comes to opinions about anything. Jobbers being made champ suddenly is never good TV. Concurrent to Lesnar as absentee Universal champ, neither show actually had a top dog at the time. It was so sad. 16 minutes ago, d-d-d-dAz said: He's nearly as unconvincing a performer as Drew McIntyre. I read some Godawful fanfiction today about 3MB standing tall at the end of Mania 40. I say "fanfiction" rather than "fantasy booking" because I wanted the disdain to come through stronger. 16 minutes ago, d-d-d-dAz said: Terrible shitearse that he is. Dingleberries. d-d-d-dAz Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 (edited) Drew's terrible Mean Girls mannerisms and laboured attempts at charisma make me cringe so hard my toes hurt. He's ten foot tall, built like a Greek God and he behaves that way. I just can't. Once upon a time on here I christened the start of Cesaro's entrance music the TWAT SIREN as I hated him so much, in spite of others loving him. I think I may have to repurpose that and focus my ire on Drew's Twat Pipes and turn the TV off accordingly. Edited January 9, 2024 by d-d-d-dAz Quote
Paid Members air_raid Posted January 9, 2024 Paid Members Posted January 9, 2024 The thing I like is Drew's weird accent that sounds like he's trying to be American, a bit. I've had him on the phone in a professional capacity and he sounds like that in real life too. Quote

Maybe that'll evolve into a fully fledged feud, but I'm fine with what they're doing, as it stands. 1 hour ago, d-d-d-dAz said: Drew's terrible Mean Girls mannerisms and laboured attempts at charisma make me cringe so hard my toes hurt. I genuinely think he's doing the best work of his career, and I don't mean that in a backhanded way. He's one of my favourite things in wrestling right now, and I think his mic work is really good. Whether he remains in WWE or jumps to AEW when his contract expires, I'd love to see him in a prominent role going forward. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted January 9, 2024 Paid Members Posted January 9, 2024 (edited) I'm not a fan of McIntyre's mic work either. I think he could be alright but he just tries too hard to sound convincingly tough and it almost ends up like a parody. Of course, he shouldn't need to do much mic work because he's got the look and his ring stuff is great. He really needs a manager to talk for him. Edited January 9, 2024 by Devon Malcolm Quote
