Merzbow Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Does anyone do a meat free dog dick saveloy? Quote
Merzbow Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 The McPlant is 99p again today, just pick the middle rabbit on the app. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted May 6, 2022 Members Posted May 6, 2022 I had the Stabucks No Meatball Marinara Wrap today (is it a new thing or have I just not noticed it?) Anyway, it was very good, meatballs not quite as nice as the Subway ones, but well worth a go. Perhaps if I didn't buy such things, I'd be able to buy a house but such is life. Quote
Rockbus2 Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Was reading recently that if you gave up Netflix, a gym subscription and one coffee a day it'd still save you 37 years to save for the average deposit so I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. Quote
Keith Houchen Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 The McPlant was 99p on the app the other day. I was told it was lovely and would have again next time it’s 99p Quote

Merzbow Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 (edited) Ha yeah, I just had one again. They make you feel as dirty as a real McDonald's burger so they're doing their job. Edited May 20, 2022 by Merzbow Quote

Merzbow Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 (edited) Check the ingredients on "non-vegan" biscuits, I often find that they're accidently vegan and much cheaper. Edited May 26, 2022 by Merzbow Quote

Paid Members Carbomb Posted May 26, 2022 Paid Members Posted May 26, 2022 McVitie's slogan used to be "You'll have to go a long, long way to find a better biscuit". They probably didn't take Ralphy and his walking into account. Quote
Merzbow Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I tried one of Tim Hortons Veggie Breakfast Wraps after Supersonic fest and what the fuck is in it? I get there's egg and hashbrown but the fake meat stuff tastes like nothing I've tasted before in my life, so weird. It's not even on the UK site yet but did seemingly come out elsewhere this year where it's apparently "Impossible Foods". Quote

They provide a lot of chains and restaurants in the states with fake meat if Beyond didn’t get their first. I had the Impossible Whopper when I last went to the states which wasn’t too dissimilar to the UK version. I’m sure there is a reason why Impossible didn’t launch here, probably a banned chemical or something Quote
Merzbow Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 I gave myself a pre-gig treat last night. The "Buffalo Soldier" and fries, the chicken was outstanding. Quote

I'm guessing the fake meat was the same as the breakfast wrap, it was very odd, just texture and no actual flavour that I could ascertain. There was plenty of other stuff on the burger to make it edible but I wouldnt be in a rush to have it again. I had my first proper doughnut from there too, it was gross. I'll stick to Tim Bits from now on. Quote
