Just got back from Farmfoods where they had this vegan brandy cream and it really tastes boozy even though there's none in it, gonna pour a load over a free from mince pie or two!

Aldi have a vegan turkey crown and pigs in blankets, lads. Their vegan range is the best supermarket own brand for me, Clive.

Asda have that, plus a no beef joint, vegan prawns, vegan smoked salmon and vegan trifle. Winner Winner Christmas Dinner

Not a fan of Asdas vegan range to be honest, but that’s quite the spread! Oh how times have changed and all that was on offer was a nutroast made with cardboard.

Beyond Burgers have a new Jalapeno flavour, £2 in Sainburys with a Nectar card. I haven't tried them yet but I'mma make a Hawaiian like burger tomorrow with pineapple and Heinz "Mayoracha" which was accidentally vegan and report back.

Had a Zizzi Rainbow Lasagne thing from Tesco for £3. It's Beetroot and Spinach and stuff. It was tasty but it was lasagne the same way a hot dog is a sandwich. Tasty enough but really could have done with a tomato layer to add sharpness and a bit more cheese as everything was syrupy and sweet.

That Jalapeno burger sounds right up my alley as well, will definitely try that. I've still yet to find a vegan burger I like more than the Linda McCartney Mozarella 1/4 Pounder. I've tried Beyond's standard one and the McPlant most recently and they were decent but not quite on par. I think that added spice might be what I'm looking for.

Still a fan of the classic bean burger too. Long before Veganism and Vegetarianism was more mainstream for lack of a better phrase, it's been something I've always enjoyed.

Had these recently and was really impressed.

Fell apart obviously as all bean burgers do, but spicy and tasty.

Funnily enough they were the exact ones I had last time too. As you said, they fall to bits but the spice and taste was spot on.

Aldi do a decent spicy bean burger, too. I often just get them because they're more bang for your buck, squeeze on some chilli sauce for an extra kick and they're perfect.

This is cracking. Throw on some sauces and you've got a winner. My favourites being Linghams chilli sauce and Knorr garlic sauce from powder from the Polish shop - little packets, sos Czosnkowy - best mixed with Heinz light mayo and a little water until its all dissolved to a thick yet pourable consistency.

Pay attention to the instructions mind and only use a little water, don't be tempted to add a little oil to the dish/pan, as your "meat" becomes very greasy. Fry from frozen is good, but results are better from the oven.

Oomph in general are really good, but this is one of the best subs compared to the real thing. I will stick this on top of a pizza, it's great. Iceland do ribs, wings and some chicken bits. all are great.

My girlfriend has recently discovered a gluten intolerance so her already limited diet got reduced further. She looked at new stuff to try and went for this. She had never had a kebab before but went for this.

As you say, don’t bother with the oil! I put some in the frying pan and had to pat it down afterwards with kitchen paper. The taste and texture was spot on and I’m delighted to say that kebab night is now a thing in our house!

Edit - Cheers @Hannibal Scorch will give them a go!

On the instructions of my ex I had the Vivera kebab recently (£2 in Sainsburys) and cooked up some red onions, garlic, a few spices (I think paprika and cayenne) then added the "meat" for a minute or two and served in flatbread with peppers, salsa and tzatziki, and I can honestly say I've been thinking about it ever since, but it's been out of stock locally for a while.

Maybe worth giving the Vivera stuff a go, and you don't have to put all that in obviously.

The only issue is you don't get a massive amount, but it did me for 3x wraps due to all the other stuff I whacked in.

We've always had one with chicken and mixed leaf salad in some fashion (she likes Rosa Verde from M&S) and squash wedges from the oven with just salt/pepper/paprika. It's not exactly meat and chips, but its very satisfying. Switching to a "less meat" diet has its drawbacks but thankfully Oomph means a homemade kebab meal hasn't gone to the dogs. If anything the flavour so close to donner has made a nice change from chicken with a gyros/shawarma blend.

We tried the Oomph pulled pork and found it was like rubber. Might give that kebab a go though.
