Merzbow Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) That's why bootleg copies were actually downgrades with missing or lower quality music etc. Couldn't get everything into a normal CD ROM. Bootleg Shenmue had far worse quality voices for example. Edited November 10, 2023 by Merzbow Quote

The King Of Swing Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 About 10 hours into Like a Dragon Gaiden (chapter 3) and I'm having a blast just messing about. The reduced map size makes getting around easy, to the point taxis are pretty pointless. Haven't played with Kiryu's agent style, as much as I probably should. Need to get on that but yakuza style (basically his old dragon style) is just so satisfying. Got my arse handed to me at Pocket Racer ? Quote

The side missions are endless. I’m the same though, never coming out of Yakuza style. Quote
CAREBEAR LUVVA Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 The Infinite Wealth demo at the end of Like A Dragon Gaiden is ace. The first minigame I came across is a Pokemon Snap sort of thing called "Sicko Snap", where you get on a bus and take photos of lycra-clad hunks who are getting up to all sorts of strange and amusing antics all across town. The full game will be well worth the 50-odd quid just for that alone, I reckon. Quote
TildeGuy~! Posted November 12, 2023 Author Posted November 12, 2023 Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name - Ending Spoilers Spoiler The ending had me sobbing like a baby, I was begging for Kiryu to be reunited with the kids at the orphanage by the end and when he only got to see them from a hidden camera and he broke down talking about Haruto just felt like a kick in the bollocks. The King Of Swing Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Completed Like a Dragon Gaiden. Took 22 hours with most side content done. Absolutely epic final boss fight and a genuinely emotional ending. More than made up for the damp squid that was the ending to Y6, imo. Did an excellent job bridging the gap between Y6 and Yakuza Like a Dragon. Also clearly setting some stuff up for Infinite Wealth, so I'd say it would probably be a good idea for those who haven't yet, to play this in preparation for that game. Also I really hope we see more Akame in future games. Quote

RedRooster Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 (edited) So I've completed Spider-Man 2. I 100% completed it, so I guess I liked it enough - but I'm amazed that the story has received the praise that it has. I don't know how to post spoiler tags, so I'll be careful what I say here, but who even needs super-powers when stun guns exist? Those sections are utterly mad. Paid Members Chris B Posted November 14, 2023 Paid Members Posted November 14, 2023 Blimey, Sleeping Dogs is great, isn't it? I know it won't be a surprise to anyone that's played it, but damn. In terms of just picking up and playing, it was really intuitive and fun. I blasted through it. Probably enjoyed it more than GTA IV, which I wasn't expecting. Shame the DLC was rubbish, but what can you do? Also a shame it never got picked up more as a franchise. Quote
