I have no problem with KT tape use in wrestling, be it legit or as a modern version of how wrapping some bandages around your lower stomach somehow indicates you have injured ribs. I do get annoyed with the shoddy application in AEW though - applied properly that stuff sticks like shit to a blanket for days, there's no reason it should be half peeled off by the end of your entrance, even if it's only been put on for storyline purposes.
