Saying you’re in six competitions, whilst factually correct, is stretching it a bit. No one gives a fuck about the Super Cup or the Club World Cup. Not really the point I'm going for though. At the end of the day, they're minor trophies. Nice to win, but not the end of the world if we come up short. I couldn't care in the slightest about their prestige or appeal. I'm considering the fact it's extra games we have to play, it's more fixtures congested for us to come back to, it's more flying off to Qatar or Turkey. It might not sound much, but over the course of a long season it's going to add up. I'm not trying to argue at all that anybody apart from us or Chelsea cares about winning. Please don't quote this post at the end of the season to laugh at me saying I'm not arsed about the Club World Cup when we hit 106 points and City beat us on goal difference.
