The whole family looks like a nightmare. I assume some focus group has found that they are a perfect cross section of their clientbase, which is depressing. At worst, they're a clan of oblivious, obnoxious twats; at best, they're at the wrong hotel and about to get shipped out to whatever Tenerife Centerparcs they were supposed to be dropped at. Not just the kids - clearly everyone around the pool is a bit older and there for a relaxing soak in the sun, and then the trophy wife kicks her sandals in one bloke's face then bombs into the pool. After gloating over his sister dropping her ice cream, I'd be begging the lad to skip off then slip and crack his head on the tiles.

Sorry, this seems to have triggered something...

I keep seeing this advert on TV, and it's weird as it's not for a brand, but just...pork.

I don't understand? Is it like when we used to hsve the milk board and they'd advertise milk?

Probably a government-backed followup to Truss' infamous "pork markets" meme. The Tories had obviously done some kind of deal, as pork seems to be the only meat which hasn't at least doubled in price in the last 6 months.

I love this ad and it still pops into my head two plus decades later whenever I fancy some cheese. Well played National Dairy Council!

I once attended a baseball game in Winnipeg sponsored by the Manitoba Pork Board. Got a cuddly pig toy for getting there early. I'm sure that cuddly pig was delighted that the other gimmick was all the concessionary food having double bacon on for no extra price.

Anyone seen these fucking atrocious ads with the AI non rhyming folk songs about weird topics? There's a bunch of them for many different topics but they all sound the same... They are really odd.

Our internet was down for ages so we could only watch the basics on the box.

”Simplicity Cremations, way to go, wayyy to go” is now permanently burnt into my brain thanks to Tipping Point’s absurdly grim yet upbeat sponsor.

ITV 4 is choice for that carry on. Nob pills and methods of getting rid of your corpse and/or a payment plan cover the cost of getting rid of your corpse. Occasional Viking river cruises.

Plus donkeys working as hod carriers.

I cry at all the animal charity adverts during the day. Old people dying? Not for me Clive. Bears and donkeys? Blabbing straight away.
