Members SuperBacon Posted May 22, 2021 Members Posted May 22, 2021 Accidentally Nazi saluting Simon was the highlight for me. Also the intrigue of why Alan was staying in Camden where he heard the band. He was with a hooker wasn't he? Quote
Abe_Knuckleball_Schwartz Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 The first five minutes had me in hysterics with the Jimmy Savile and Nazi salute, not to mention the obligatory display of the socks. We even got a "Partridge you wanker" a little later, brilliant. Quote
Dai Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 As the faint voice said 'Partridge you wanker', you could also hear Partridges voice become weaker as he was holding the squat for too long. Plus he also signed the Chemsex writing on the pavement Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted May 23, 2021 Paid Members Posted May 23, 2021 The interview between Jennie & Sam with Partridge just scoffing in the background was class. The Queen songs thing was funny as well. Quote
Mr_Danger Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I can’t believe we got a squatting Alan but didn’t get to experience the knee clicking this week. Quote

I figure that's why he stayed squatting - to avoid it. The other week, he squatted down to talk to, I think, the body language expert, and the sound as he got up was awful. In the same way as he went over the set to make his timing while walking/talking, I wonder if part of the gag now is that Alan's become aware of these things and is now trying to find workarounds. Paid Members Jazzy G Posted May 29, 2021 Paid Members Posted May 29, 2021 Does he get the Princess Anne interview next week, or is something going to "happen" during his weekend away with Tiff that leads to him losing the interview and/or his job? Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted May 29, 2021 Members Posted May 29, 2021 At one point in that episode, I became convinced that he was going to end up shagging Jenny. The "widdle from my ear" and "none of them in combat roles" were the highlights for me, and I REALLY loved how petty he got in the Ruth section. I like to imagine how much @Frankie Crisppopped at the Springsteen bit also. Downside: absolutely none of the band section was funny. Way too on the nose and 'zeitgeisty'. Quote
Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted May 29, 2021 Paid Members Posted May 29, 2021 I thought last night's episode was largely shite, but I did love that Springsteen line. Quote
Paid Members chokeout Posted May 29, 2021 Author Paid Members Posted May 29, 2021 (edited) I thought Lynn was going to pipe up off camera when they introduced the segment about Jesus being black. (and always a fan of Lynn standing up for herself against Alan) I did enjoy his very petty win over Ruth and him just ignoring the old lady during her interview. Simon is going to end up as Co-host and Alan is going to lose the Princess Anne interview, ideally because of a very minor sex scandal with the makeup lady. Edited May 29, 2021 by chokeout Quote
