Merzbow
Ugly Christmas jumpers that aren't even proper jumpers, just sweaters with some shite printed on them.

Remember those Barclays Life Skills adverts about how young people start every sentence/answer with "Basically"?  How about one for adults, usually professionals in the media, starting every sentence/answer with "So"

I'm trying to train myself out of it the way I managed to stop using "sort of" as a filler phrase three or four times a sentence.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted November 22, 2018 Moderators Share Posted November 22, 2018 Not at all trivial thing that makes me rage - complete pricks who stands in the doorway of a lift so it can't close to continue their conversation with someone who's not getting in, making everyone in the lift wait. W35ty
Not sure what thread it was in but someone brought up people using "stan" on social media to describe fans. This week i keep seeing "tea" being used to replace "news".
Guest
"Tea" and "Stan" are obviously a viral marketing campaign for some white rapper. When one gets cold, the other drives his girlfriend off a bridge.
Paid Members BomberPat Posted November 23, 2018 Paid Members Share Posted November 23, 2018 Does "tea" mean news? I figured it was a reference to the "Kermit The Frog sipping tea" meme, as a smug sign-off to a mundane statement that the person making it thinks is somehow controversial. I'd heard the term "Stan" for a good year or two before someone finally explained that it was a reference to the Eminem track.
Guest
In seriousness I think "tea" is meant to represent schadenfreude, like when the neighbour who's spent months bitching about your perfectly fair parking gets his car repossessed. You're just there sipping tea while you watch, a quiet twinkle in your eye, the situation speaking for itself.
W35ty
It's used for news/gossip. I've dug an example out. https://imgur.com/a/HcODGkR Â I was going to mention another supermarket annoyance but i think i can cover it by just saying other people shopping in supermarkets. Lord-Mountevans
My own laziness! If i want to go into the garden for a minute & it's wet outside, i will try & force my already tied trainers onto my feet, rather than undo the laces. I know it will be quicker in the long run to undo the damn things, yet can't be arsed with the rigmarole. đ©
