Just a lovely combination of chocolate, biscuit, fondant filling and caramel. No nougat bollocks like Gus' Double Decker. Close the thread, the clear winner was chosen on the first page. Wonderful choccy bar this, perfect for the 'eat choc first, filling after' routine (which was all ready established as the correct way to eat a chocolate bar). Snickers and Kinda Bueno are runners up for me.
Paid Members ColinBollocks 1,461 Posted August 31, 2018 Paid Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2018 Aye. Definitely the Double Decker. Pretty sure I saw Charles Bronson kill a man with one in The Mechanic too.
Keith Houchen 18,327
Mint Aero out of the freezer used to my tipple. Now it tends to be Double Decker or Mars.
Paid Members tiger_rick 11,998 Posted August 31, 2018 Paid Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2018 Milky Way in the freezer is unbelievably good. I've gone off Double Deckers. Just find them irritatingly hard. Great shouts on Milka (though gutted if they've ruined it), kinder Bueno and the good old kit-kat.
Paid Members BomberPat 8,163 Posted August 31, 2018 Paid Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2018 Always used to be the Crunchie, but recently I've been partial to a Yorkie, though that might be because it and the peanut butter Kit Kat are the only decent chocolate bars in the vending machine at work. Gay as FOOK 1,558
It was the sadly discontinued, heavenly snowflake. Now it's probably Bournville or those chunky cappuccino-coffee type bars you get in Marks & Spencers. Coffee chocolate is always good, with me.

Star Bar comes a close second & I've got respect for the enduring simplicity of a Kit Kat. Boosts have been wank since they stopped being filled with coconut. I said it previously, but boost was biscuit, peanut or coconut (I want to say blue, yellow and red). Blue boost was kept, Peanut Boost became Star Bar and Coconut, arguably the best, was never seen again. Long over due a comeback!

Completely forgot about it but it was one of the best things Cadbury's ever did.
Moderators Chest Rockwell 7,834 Posted August 31, 2018 Moderators Report Share Posted August 31, 2018 Lindt chocolate bars are the shit, and they've got lots of nice flavours. I think they are pretty much the only chocolate bars I buy for consumption at home. Otherwise it's biscuits for me. At work I occasionally buy a honeycomb crisp galaxy bar, which is delightful and infinitely better than a Crunchie.
Paid Members Carbomb 5,862 Posted August 31, 2018 Paid Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2018 Dunno about Aldi, but Lidl's version of peanut M&Ms are miles better than the original.

Their fake gourmet jelly beans are just as good as the jelly belly ones.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious 1,393 Posted August 31, 2018 Paid Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2018 It’s the Star Bar. I missed my flight home a few months back, and had to stay in a hotel at Manchester Airport. Felt miserable, went to the lobby to buy a toothbrush, and found the vending machine had Star Bars. Bought three, cheered me right up.

Aldi brand jaffa cakes and chocolate hobnobs all the way.
