10yo wanted chippy after football training and who am I to complain. Doesn't accurately depict just how many chips are here, enough for dinner and a small snack later.

Also just remembered I was supposed to try something from there. Was it peas? 

They are also again doing battered pigs in blankets. Will check out.

Our local chippy (The Sea Shell in Heaton Moor) wasn't open over the weekend so I asked them why when I went in for some chips & gravy earlier. They said that when they booted the frier up on Saturday afternoon and started cooking chips, they were slightly below the standards they normally set - so they closed until Monday when they could get a new potato delivery! Now that's dedication to the craft.
