Absolutely agree with this, although the timing was wrong. Bayley had just come out of two storming matches against Sasha (probably in the top 2 of my top 5 favourite women's matches) and was about to face Nia Jax before losing the title to Asuka in Dallas.She was red-hot as a babyface and going with some Authority-led angle all in the name of 'heat' woudl've cooled her off massively. Had Asuka defeated Eve for the title or defeated an all-ready beaten and less-over Bayley, the win wouldn't have meant as much as it did. But somewhere along the line, if Asuka wasn't going to be crowned champ for a little while longer, an Eve title run with the backing of dastardly biased refs and time keepers would have been great fun for a couple of months. Bayley drops the title to Eve in London (which gives Bayley an extra 6 weeks or so with the tite), wins it back in January and faces Nia Jax in Dallas.
