Genuinely love we can watch mad shit like this without Chris Tarrant chuckling after.

The fact that you could hear the slapping noise of them shagging was a bit too much ?

Anyway, The Apprentice this week was a fantastic slice of shitness, with both teams serving up some of the worst creativity the shows seen.

Now I'm a fairly laissez-faire person and understand language evolves and I'm cool with that, but the amount of times someone said "It's giving..." absolutely did my head in.

One of the music avatars was certainly giving this vibe: 20250207_182013.thumb.jpg.9f55bcfde82e361dc2794531159688ae.jpg

Celebrity Bear Hunt on Netflix has had me binging over the weekend (on ep.7). Interesting group of people but that Kola guy’s been such a little bitch. I’ve never seen him in anything else apart from Race Across The World and I thought he was a dick in that too.

Hidden in case no-one’s watched this far.

Spoiler

What’s his beef with Zuu? He was quick enough to throw a hissy fit with Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen nearly drowned and most them the challenge and then have a go at Mel and Steph. And he celebrated when his ‘team’ won the plank challenge but soon turns when Zuu’s team won the next one. He’s got such a bad attitude.

Yeah Kola was miserable on RATW. He’s not come off better here. Big Zuu is an absolute irritant. Can’t stand the guy. Has also been a prick. Did love Kola telling Lottie she’s only famous because of her sister. Not wrong as she introduced herself as “obviously I’m well known for being Kate Moss’ sister”

One thing I found weird was

Spoiler

Mel B attacking Shirley for not being in the Bear Pit yet. Neither had Joe. But she got really really annoyed at Shirley for some unknown reason and had ago at her for it

The most cringey bits of The Apprentice for me are always the price negotiations.

I feel my skin crawl when they say things like "Hmmmm, you've said £16.99, can you go to £16.97?"and then claim they're master negotiators for getting 2p off. Just the worst.

Carlo was probably the biggest nob in the whole show, and again demonstrated his worthlessness so glad hes fucked off. Enjoyed Sugar reciting Shakespeare and Tim popping for it.

The gobby, "£1.50 for a sheep's fleece please" woman got booted off the Apprentice this week. Giving a very thorough run through of how not to operate a business. Didn't listen to her team and picked the wrong product to manufacture and sell. Didn't listen to her team or know the target market they were selling to, so picked the wrong components in said product. Took over the costings for said product and costed the product wrong, so cost an extra £85. Didn't listen to her team, who went to see the corporate client. Bull-rushed them and what they had to do and got the spec completely wrong. So cost them earnings from the corporate client.

I saw an interview where she said, she wanted to use the raw ingredient (potato) and make chips for fish and chips. But wasn't allowed by the producers. Still completely oblivious that is was a profit task. The cost of fish has skyrocketed so there would be no profit in it again.

Spoiler for next week.

Spoiler

There was a teaser at the end of the last episode, that someone resigns. From what I read, Jana who's going to be PM this week, said something that came across as racist. He got a telling off from the producers, but wasn't told to leave the show.

But it looks like he leave on his own accord at the end of the episode, anyway.

Annoyingly caught up with Traitors US so stuck with an episode a week. Rubbish.

While I do find the laziness of exactly the same missions etc quite annoying, must admit watching different people on the show does make it a worthwhile experience watching. To be fair the missions and stuff are pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things anyway so stuff like the round tables are pretty epic. Especially liked this week's one.

I do get the feeling it was set up and staged to make her look bad. She did come across as an idiot, but a few times watching it I did think, surely noone is THAT bad.

With regards the spoiler....interesting rumour regarding it. Be interested to know if stuff like that has been said before or if it was another way around whether they'd asked the person to leave or whether they'd force them off the show.

It's a lot more stage managed than people realise and they know the winner even before they start the tasks and edit it to ensure it looks like the winner is at 'random'

It was one of the best episodes of Apprentice they've done for ages. She's been a nightmare the season so far so having a start-to-finish episode of her shitting the bed and being unceremoniously dumped out of the competition was a cathartic experience. Off the top of my head I'm not sure I've ever seen an episode where every team member unanimously agrees "yeah she was shit" and then Alan, Karen and Tim all agree "oh yeah absolute dog shit" and then they don't even have to argue about it. Great stuff.

I've not watched the Apprentice in years, but I'm sure I remember people being absolute toilet but kept in under for some bollocks reason just because it's obvious the show wants them on for longer, so I'm a little surprised they actually got rid of that woman.

No firings, only 1 resignation this week on the Apprentice, where they had to create a new Easter egg and pitch it to industry buyers to create sales.

With these tasks, more times than not. I think where do they get the numbers/metrics from, when wanting to place an order.

Such as Tesco. They tried one teams white chocolate and matcha luxury Easter egg. The main complaint even from the team, was that you couldn't taste the matcha in it. So it was just a white chocolate egg. Tesco undeterred said matcha's really in at the moment, everyone likes that flavour, etc. Lets place an order for 80,000 units or 150,000 units with exclusivity.

The other team had an egg which tasted good but looked handmade....because it was. When you mass produce something there isn't someone on the production line, sticking rice crispy craters on, and drawing an orange stripe with a piping bag. I don't get why they don't say it's a prototype. Because that's what it is.

You do wonder how many of the contestants are actually stupid and how much of it is the producers goading them into bad ideas. There's no way on earth that idea of inventing an Easter mascot to replace the Easter Bunny would 1. Get that far in reality, or 2. If it did, be so badly executed.
You've made a nice tasting egg, so now you put it in a colourful box for kids and if you're set on a mascot then actually focus on the mascot. Frustrating to watch some of these people.

I've no idea why you would make a matcha log that doesn't taste of matcha but also be scared of it being green. It's matcha, it's an adult flavour, adults would know that matcha is green and expect it to be green. That being said, I can see why it would get orders regardless of taste because it was unique and having "matcha" on the box is enough to sell it.
