DavidB6937 Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 Plus them being so scared of green "giving Shrek" as if nothing else has ever been green. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 (edited) Seen this video on Facebook. Rather amusing I thought showing the 'side jobs' that make the Apprentice https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1A6nsVYddr/ Edited March 1, 2025 by Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Quote

Melica, the gift who keeps giving. She didn't even get the Tesco order, that was Mia who seems like one of the few sane candidates. Melica, took the lead & went to pitch their easter egg with her former employer, Waitrose. Tried to schmooze one of them who was wearing a chefs whites jacket. Asking him, "oh is that the deli jacket, or the one from the fish counter?" Neither, he's a senior development chef, who focuses on coffee and chocolate. Who would have thought it. They haven't sent Dave off the fish counter to come and buy Easter eggs for Waitrose. Quote

There's a huge amount of the latter, as has come out in recent years from ex-contestants. Things like them putting extra restrictions on what they can and can't do in each challenge but never actually explaining that on TV, so the contestants just look extra thick when they seem to get even the most basic of decisions wrong. Chances are they were specifically told not to do the obvious because it wouldn't make for the best TV. The sad thing is someone has been uploading old clips onto Tiktok from the first couple of series and it was such a more enthralling show when it was produced in more of a documentary style without the edited reaction shots, musical overlays, voice overs, etc. Quote
DavidB6937 Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 There has to be an element of production so they get the show they want. Same as stuff like Hunted which clearly has its own rules we're not necessarily aware of. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted March 1, 2025 Members Posted March 1, 2025 Mia to win as I fancy her. Alan told another West Ham trophy gag. 11/10 episode. Quote
Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 Agree on both those points. Mia I think actually has her head screwed on and will do well but I fear she'll come a cropper at the interview round Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 1, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted March 1, 2025 I remember reading a thread on Reddit where some candidates explained exactly how hamstrung they are during the process as regards the choices they have. https://www.reddit.com/r/TheApprentice/s/O0d7Ga4pE6 Quote

Producers' wet dream letting the candidates walk into that one. Quote
TibBo Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Why do they wake up in pure darkness at 4am with 20 mins to get ready, but it is broad daylight when they are chatting in the cars en-route to the tasks? Quote

Tim Healys Chutney Spoon Posted March 20, 2025 Posted March 20, 2025 Watching The Apprentice....fucking hell what a bunch of idiots?! Let's make a advert for our product...but let's not show it...or get it out the container... And then the other team make a shite product, shite advert, shite idiots. Trying to post the above without spoilers! Quote
Rossman Posted March 23, 2025 Posted March 23, 2025 The whole episode came across ridiculous. Why was Sugar going to be the final judge of the product, if he refused to taste them. Melica comes across daft as a brush, but I couldn't see her repeatedly saying "I've got an A in GCSE drama" throughout, when they made the advert, without some kind of input from the producers. They complained the BANGIN sauce was basic and unoriginal. They had an ex tennis player and air conditioning salesman creating and producing it. It was going to be basic, but at least it was edible, compared to the yellow cement in a bottle. Quote
