I think also going with my mum, dad and sister has are it more difficult to plan as no one taking the lead. We’ve got a few meal and fireworks booked in the parks so I guess we’ll plan certain days where you are.

I’ll step up and get things planned! I did make a Trello with each day, better start filling it.

Make time for Dennys and Longhorns, you won’t regret it.

That looks superb. I saw Gary Eats rip apart Dennys recently, and his food did look awful, but maybe he hit a bad spot.

Denny’s is basically Little Chef. Not sure if he went to a UK or US one but the US ones are pretty meh, and thanks to inflation/wages there, it’s not even a cheap eat anymore really.

If you’re staying at or near Idrive@Weezenal, the world’s biggest themed McDonalds also sell Pizzas and they are wood fired. Not bad for $10ish. It’s also across the road from Hogan’s Hangout if you fancy a fun photo op!

Not a cheap eat, but reasonable enough, even more so if you get the app which often knocks 40% off the bill.  Mostly lard and sugar, but that’s how I likes ‘em!

Surprised nobody’s dug this up since more detailed plans were released yesterday. Couple of highlights include:

1. Parking £35 per day
2. capacity 55k during peak season (expected to hit 15 days per year)
3. Typical hours 9am to 9pm
4. Open until 1 or 2am on HHN and holidays
5. Maximum 10 fireworks shows per year
6. Drone shows

1am late opening for a NYE could be fun!

35 quid a day seems insane! 20 dollars seemed a lot last time we went. Adds a substantial amount to a visit.

Rather than check the news feeds, what does it mean by 1 fireworks show a year?

That's fantastic, thank you so much.

And to you @TibBo, mensches, the pair of you!

Way late but just to say thanks again @johnnyboy and @TibBo, incredibly helpful in planning the trip!

Covered an awful lot of what you suggested and had a great time, finished off day 2 with the Royal Banquet and the kids watching the fireworks display from the restaurant window. Peak Disney magic, right there.

Apt this thread appeared. Booked Disneyland Paris for October and it's extortionate. Hoping to get excited about things but £3k+ for flights, hotel, half board and 3 nights is a bit much...

There's time for a buzz.

Really interesting video on The American Adventure theme park.

Peak 80s Britain thinking this, being absolutely obsessed with anything yank.

I don't remember going but my old man says we did, so we probably did.

Cheers for sharing, I've seen photos of it in its abandon state and it's a strange mix of fascinating and sad. At the end of every school year, we went to a theme park - we did Alton Towers, American Adventure, Camelot and Flamingo Land.
