Was there live and had a good time. That building is so great. It's massive inside, great sightlines, always easy to get to the bar and just conducive to a great atmosphere.

A big crowd like that full of hardcores is always going to have those chants though. Gradwell and Huxley particually had no chance with the Jesus stuff. At least it was pretty funny.

I thought Mark Andrews and Tyler Bate really shined as others have said - absolutely loved that angle with Pete Dunne and Sam Gradwell too.

The matches weren't great and they seemed agented to tone it down from what you'd usually see about a lot of those guys, but with the greener wrestlers mixed in and with matches at 7 minutes, I don't think you can expect much. I knew most of the guys in the tournament but I do agree there was a lot of sameness in the gear and some of the acts. Could have used more variety.

Tomorrow should be much better, with a thinned out field of the people they're really behind. You'd expect they'll really go for it in the big matches. I'm at Progress today but do kind of wish I was there for the crowning of the champ. I'll be attempting to watch the show on Virgin Trains Wifi instead.

The show was a lot better than I expected, especially only knowing 2 guys going into it. Good production, solid commentary and a nice effort to introduce each guy. The matches were hit and miss but to be expected from the first round.

It just shows what WWE can do with such little time to get people over with unfamiliar crowds. Much like CWC really. Yet they fail miserably with it on the main roster with way more time.

Just watched it this morning and was really impressed (I have been a major critic of WoS revival).

Just some points

  • Dunne must be odds on to win it. The stuff at the end with Regal was superb and will get the crowd and TV audience already looking forward to how that pans out.
  • Cole and McGuinness were pretty good on commentary although Nigel got lost a few times he recovered well and should be a good long term voice on the channel.
  • I saw nothing from Trent Seven to be impressed, he looked out of shape and had a beard and moustache. The Hipster look is so 2014 so really cant see WWE investing too much in him, isn't he 35 ?.
  • The venue looked cracking, old school, so much history and the right place (maybe aside from York Hall) to host the show.
  • The crowd ! hmmm, I don't like the crowd taking over the show and hearing football chants so I wasn't keen. I am a fan of American Wrestling from the 70's onwards so have no interest in even seeing the crowd let alone hearing them. I accept I may be in a minority here though.
  • The wrestlers needed a little more variety in terms of look and colour. The old, I grew up rough without a mum or dad story is a bit old now too. (is that harsh ?).

Really looking forward to tonight now.

WWE are producing some great variety on the Network with their  shows, 205 and NXT are a good example and I fully expect a weekly UK show with may a quarterly big event being held across the UK being a huge success.

Drew is appearing to make a 'huge' announcement for 5SW this morning in Dundee. They've got another money losing show planned there on the 28th.
