Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 7, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 7, 2017 Yeah, they could have done the DQ, but I guess they're keeping Sasha face because if she turned heel there'd only be Bayley as a babyface in the Raw women's division. Quote
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted March 7, 2017 Awards Moderator Posted March 7, 2017 I just remembered the most ridiculous line from Steph delivered from a speakerphone: "I can't stand watching it on my phone." Way to trash the Network's portable gimmick, Steph. Quote
WyattSheepMask Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Even on speakerphone Steph was unbearable. "If someone can grown a brain and fix this plane!", I don't see you pulling all your aviation knowledge to solve the problem, so shut up Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 7, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 7, 2017 In spite of the fact she was probably sat in the next room. Between that and Foley pulling the cord out of the phone it was a ridiculous segment. Quote
JakeRobertsParoleOfficer Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Goldberg looked meatier here than when he first returned and IMHO looks great.......until he moves and then there's just an awkwardness to it that i just can't put my finger on. He's defo struggling doing the Jackhammer, you can tell as he no longer holds it like he used to (only times he didn't hold it was when doing it on guys like Big Show). I don't care though, Goldberg has done the best stuff on WWE TV in years. Quote
zep81 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) He held it a bit on Lesnar at SS. I don't think he always used to hold the guy up back in the day either tbh. It does make it look better when he does though and maybe he will at WM. He's definitely put on more muscle imo too. Edited March 7, 2017 by zep81 Quote
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted March 7, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 7, 2017 I don't think it even matters, the Spear and Jackhammer still look legit. Quote
Paid Members WeeAl Posted March 7, 2017 Paid Members Posted March 7, 2017 Only really getting caught up on things after moving house and having no WiFi, but that was a strange show. Joe and Zayn was pretty decent, but felt like they were leaving more in the tank for down the line, but with some of the other stuff on this show it could have went a little longer. The tag match was fine but as others have said, Enzo and Cass, if they are ever going to win the titles, with hindsight they should have won them here as they were over like rover. I have zero interest in the women's division but the results of both matches added to a larger narrative of the show having some strange decisions. Such as Strowman losing to Reigns in the manner he did. I liked the match, I thought it was pretty good actually. It just seemed to me to be logical to have Undertaker interfere to set up Reigns and Taker for Mania and do a non finish, and then you can always go back to Strowman and Reigns in the summer. They are cutting Strowman's legs down a bit in size with losing clean already in his run, they could probably have been doing with getting another six months out of him having not be beaten. Neville v Gallagher was a very good match. I hadn't taken to Gallagher at all but he got me interested in the match recently on Raw with the contract signing and then they delivered the best match of the night. Fair play to them both. The main event went as I had hoped and expected. Goldberg can do no wrong by me, he's been the best thing about Raw ever since he came back. Overall though when watching through, this definitely felt like an episode of Raw rather than a big, important show that couldn't be missed. Quote
Doog Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 So, its Payback tonight.. Havent watched much WWE since WrestleMania but the card looks decent enough if nothing to really write home about. PWInsider have just put up how House Of Horrors will work, half pre taped and half to be done in the arena by the sounds of it. Hopefully Reigns/Strowman will be the actual main event Anyone watching? I probably will with it being a bank holiday tomorrow Quote
Daaaaaad! Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I would watch if it didn't look so wank. Even the SmackDown show with the jobbers main eventing looks more appealing that any of this, save for Strowman/Reigns. Quote
Otto Dem Wanz Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 I'll watch it tomorrow as it's a bank holiday but can't say the card looks exciting. Expecting good things from Braun and Roman though. Quote
Guest Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) This show ruled. Blew away my expectations. Pretty much six great matches, plus you know what Balor segment with Miz was good. Seems he may be bound for Brock Was shocked Jericho won. Thought he was gonna take time out to play with his crap band? Delighted he's sticking around anyway and should be good for Smackdown. AJ/Owens/Jericho for Backlash? Speaking of Backlash, the advert for it focused entirely on Nakamura! https://youtube.com/watch?v=8kq2iMnLn8U This man can't leave. The angle of the picture of Owens on the ramp looked hilarious. I was pissin myself. Nice idea with the face of America shtick, but that looked far too comical. Cruiserweight match was another terrific outing. Our Nev has apparently started shouting babbling nonsense to the crowd. Works. Fucking loved the tag title match. Looked like a war. Sheamus kicks a fucking tooth out of Jeff's face. Matt got busted open somehow. Hardyz are over as fuck. Post-match was a fantastic turn I didn't see coming. Going to enjoy heel Sheasaro/Cesamus, they were good on Raw Talk. Oh and Matt said post-haste in a hilarious pre-show segment with the Golden Truth. I think Almost Broken Matt Hardy is my favourite thing. Bayley and Alexa was a lot better than I expected, might be Bayley's best main roster match yet and Alexa's best ever. Great chemistry there. Was surprised Alexa won. I'm fine with it but I'd have added a few more minutes and gone for the hometown win. Right.. The House of Horrors AKA A Brawl In A House. The crowd shat on this one, took me a bit by surprise actually, thought it would be met by baffling silence. Disappointed there was no DELETE chants after the pre-tape. First of all, there were boos for the fucking MATCH GRAPHIC during the pre-show. That must be a first. Secondly, I was pissed off that this was even happening after everybody was bringing their a-game and having great matches, they were so close to a clean sweep. So my first thoughts were that I was glad it didn't go too overboard with Spooky Business. Apart from the doll heads and the sound effects. The one that was like "AYAYAY" had me in stitches, but that was the only really so goofy it's funny bit. Final Deletion this was not. When they were both lying on the floor I wanted Randy to ask while heavily breathing "so... Bray... how the fuck do you win this match?". I was half expecting the bell to ring when Wyatt left through the door like it was a cage match. The announcers seem to have magically figured out the rules to the match. Must have been Bray using some spooky telepathic mind powers to let Michael Cole know, and presumably Randy as well. Christ this was fucking stupid. After Mania I was sure we'd see some bugs, and as much as I can't be doing with Randy at the moment I don't want to see him selling insectphobia like he was on I'm A Celebrity. That was until they came back to the arena and OMG, Randy got there before Bray! Stupid Bray should've taken the shortcut. After this I wanted Orton to get chased away by hornets. There was a fucking Jinder chant after his interference. 2017 is wild. Wyatt wins - still looks like a goon. RIP. Was sure after the long pre-tape that got shat on that Rollins and Joe might struggle to get the crowd back on side. Not the case, really good match but I worry about Joe a little bit. Either should have won or destroyed Rollins after the match. Great main event and incredible post-match angle that bled into Raw Talk for some reason. This match started out all guns blazing and they had a hell of a fight and I loved it. Roman was selling the shit out of his injuries. He made Strowman look like the most dangerous man in the world and he made himself look like the most resilient. To see storyline blood from the mouth was a massively powerful image in this age. Pretty much perfect this. Remember that Wyatts v Team ECW match? If you told me then that Strowman would be involved in something this good, I'd have got you sectioned. The right guy went over of course. Roman's reaction seemed way more positive than usual, even just when his music hit. Really satisfying stuff overall, just the one obvious blip. More or less everything else was a blast. Edited May 1, 2017 by sj5522 Quote
d-d-d-dAz Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 My favourite bit of House of Horrors was when I thought Randy had bent Bray over to spank him with a frying pan.. Quote
Paid Members TheBurningRed Posted May 1, 2017 Paid Members Posted May 1, 2017 House of Horrors had me laughing from the moment Randy looked at the house and Bray was upside down in the top window. Awful "match" and a waste of time. Otherwise, a very good show. Judging by the end when Payback went into Raw Talk, Braun hates two things. Roman and ambulances. Quote
Abe Mikkel Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 The House of Horrors match was embarrassing and a waste of time. Should of just had it as a gimmick match at the arena. Also why wasn't it for the title? Doesnt Bray care about losing the title? Quote
