Mikeymike83 31
So in an absolute brainfart moment, I've decided to have a crack on the ps4 again after probably 12-18 months worth of not being too bothered, I have accidentally deleted the spiderman game. Having played through since Monday, and getting pretty far through the game, I'm now absolutely apoplectic at the thought that all that hard work has been lost. I've reinstalled the game but it's coming up as if it's been installed for the very first time (0% game played), somebody please, PLEASE, tell me that there is a way to recover that data so it can be installed again and I don't have to piss about doing the same missions all over again. 😫😫
The King Of Swing 1,155
I'm obviously in the minority but I have zero interest in The Last of Us 2. Shit news for those that were looking forward to it though.
Mr_Danger 3,252
You'd think that it'd be delayed for as long as it takes for the world to get back to work but they had announced Ghost of Tsushima for just over a month after The Last of Us part 2 so maybe it jumps in to that spot or moves to the back end of July/early August. I think Ghost was Sony's last big first party release of the year, on PS4.

Do you have PS+? You can copy down your cloud save.

CAREBEAR LUVVA 224
If you've never subscribed to PS+ before, your saves won't be backed up anyway, so there'd be no point in signing up now.
Mikeymike83 31
Thanks chaps. Well that sucks! Think I'll start with another game and go back to that at a later date.

Mr_Danger 3,252
I don't think so. The PS4 version will likely be patched up like Xbox are doing with their games but it isn't exactly clear to what extent at the moment. If it's not then it's a big plus for Xbox as they already offer upscale on old games and have backwards compatibility all the way back to og Xbox. Part of the selling point on next gen seems to around not having to buy games twice but it's Sony so who knows. Maybe PS5 get's the super deluxe added multiplayer version but with over 100 million units in the wild that will have to available on PS4 too.

The backwards compatibility sounds limited on PS5, at least in the beginning. New AAA releases drive up console sales. It's always been the way and I can't see this generation being any different. The largest two markets are kids who will be gifted games / save pocket money, and late teens / early twenties with disposable income for £99 'collector's edition' with a free Blue Peter badge. No need to provide anything for free where new things will be willingly paid for.
Mr_Danger 3,252
They will absolutely invent reasons to buy exclusive next gen games but there'll definitely be a period of cross over. It's one of the more interesting features of next gen. Xbox have already said all first party games will be available on both consoles for the first year.

The King Of Swing 1,155
Persona 5 Royal About 15 hours in and it's everything I hoped it would be so far. A great upgrade to an already phenomenal game.
