It’ll be right for one of them (I’ll leave it up to you all to think of a question for that answer) Who beat SuperBacon in the Off Topic poster of the year 2019 award and also has the most upvotes on UKFF? You’re only there possibly once, might as well make the most out of it. I solemnly swear right here and now that if I ever make it on, every question I don’t know I will answer with a posters username. ”Who invented the Skip?” ”Punkstep”
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 25, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2020 I can't bring myself to watch Only Connect anymore as the friend I used to watch it with took his own life a couple of years ago. Love that show as well. Just not ready yet.
Paid Members Monkee Posted February 25, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 25, 2020 I thought the Joey Deacon photo was Harry Patch (First World War legend) so didn’t get that connection. I did get the Star Wars one though. Currently a bit obsessed with Richard Osman’s House of Games though. I want his suitcase.

Unless they’d also accept ‘Keanu Reeves Films 1986-2000’ See, I thought you were also an F-1 and Star Wars aficionado as well? If not, surely you're enough of an enthusiast that it wouldn't take you long to get up to specialist subject level with a bit of genning up? Glenryck Pilchards
I had an unsuccessful audition for Mastermind last year and the key to get on the show is to pick something that hasn't been done before. In the application form it asked to pick three specialist subjects and I chose Archer (The spy one), Edvard Grieg and the Mosconi Cup. Other than Archer I don't know a lot about the other subjects, but I think I was selected for audition because it was such a diverse range of subjects, but they were topics that I could easily cram study. My mate Michael made the final in 2014 and he was desperate to do Wrestlemania so he could get a free trip to either Full Sail or Greenwich but it was considered too 'low brow' so he did the Salem Witch Trials instead and got a free trip to Boston, whilst the winner chose Philip Larkin and got a trip to Hull. Who was the real winner? (No offence @tiger_rick)
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 26, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 26, 2020 I'd choose test cricket (1987 to present day) or the films of Alfred Hitchcock and win handsomely.

Rather than talk about something interesting I asked her about this far-better-than-it-should-be quiz show. The two nuggets of 3AM girls trivia I scooped were: 1. All five episodes are filmed in one day, in a studio in Glasgow. 2. Scarlet Moffat forgot to pack knickers, so borrowed some from Angellica. If you compare the size of these two women this boggles the mind.

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 26, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 26, 2020 I'd feel compelled to try and get Street Fighter in there, possibly something Marvel related (Squirrel Girl, methinks), some kind of French Touch (electronic music gubbins, although maybe try and narrow it to Daft Punk/Justice) Scott Pilgrim, and maybe try and get some homework done about the work of Yuzo Koshiro. The earlier seasons were filmed in London I believe, but the most reason series was definitely filmed in Glasgow (the move was to do with some very dull financial loophole with how funding is doled out by the BBC during commissioning), and they did 100 episodes in four weeks, which is a mad amount in such a short time frame. 2 minutes ago, Rey_Piste said: She lost a good chunk of weight. This was definitely filmed either before said weight-loss, or after she had returned to her former physique as she was definitely closer to the picture on the left.
