Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 4, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2015 He's not wrong about Bret either. Whereas Bret's snipe at Triple H a while back, where he claimed he's never had a great match, is absolute bollocks.
Paid Members quote the raven Posted February 4, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) So people thought it was crap because he let HHH off? It's a wwe program, HHH doesn't have to even be there. It's about as close as we are ever going to get to a shoot interview with the man that will be running the WWE. Doctor Whos Next
I thought his honesty about how difficult it is to write for a three hour Raw was particularly interesting.

Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted February 4, 2015 Awards Moderator Share Posted February 4, 2015 I really enjoyed the HHH podcast. I can listen to Steve forever but it was fascinating both how much power Triple H has and yet how much he claims to have no control over. And how interesting that he says that third hour of Raw is exponentially difficult to write for, because it really shows. I'm going to send him a fruit basket to help him through it. Â Has it ever been said so explicitly by someone so high up in WWE that "kayfabe is dead"?
pryko
I enjoyed that podcast with HHH too. Agree with whoever said it was too short too. Could have carried on listening to that for a long long time. Would be great to see more stuff like this, especially with Triple H
Paid Members PunkStep Posted February 4, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2015 Really enjoyed the podcast too and it made me like Triple H even more than I already did. Listening to him talk about his methods of booking in NXT makes me want him to have more control over the main shows. Would've been good to hear Austin ask him about the original Sin Cara though- why didn't he go to developmental first, how much creative input did he have given the fact he supposedly signed him etc.
Paid Members ColinBollocks Posted February 4, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2015 I don't get what people are on about saying Austin let Triple H off lightly. He asked him all the business questions you would want, and even threw in a Chyna curveball. Like the Vince interview, it's not Austin's fault if Triple H wasn't giving him the most honest or interesting answer. Â I'm with Triple H, though. I'm more interested in hearing about their road stories, rather than the business talk. Basically the Jericho interview without the ubiquitous nervous fake laughing and the ludicrous self-aggrandising. Two genuine top draws talking about life on top during WWE's hottest period. King Pitcos
I don't get what people are on about saying Austin let Triple H off lightly.  Didn't have enough sleazenburials. He didn't even talk about stirring Macho Man's porridge. That's the sort of shit people (stupidly) convince themselves will make an interview with Triple H worthwhile.  It was a very good interview. Enjoyed him talking about how the process has changed now because you have to incorporate the perceptions about backstage stuff into the TV show. His differences in philosophy from Vince's were interesting too. He seemed quite clear, though, that he knew his audience for NXT isn't the same as the audience for Raw, so I wouldn't expect Monday Night NXT when he's in charge of the big league. hallicks
I wonder if they've stopped trying to hawk NXT to cable networks in the US. Triple H seemed pretty keen on NXT going out on the road, but if it's going to be financially viable, it'll probably need more than just WWE network exposure. I know they already do the house shows on weekends but they draw 200-300 fans I think. Or if he's happy for it to be a touring entity money loser. Paid Members JNLister Posted February 4, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2015 They are running an NXT house show in Ohio (to coincide with the bodybuilding convention) and reportedly sold out 2,500 seats on the first day. Hard to imagine that's representative of how they'd normally do though.
Mr.Showtime
It's amazing the types of daft sessions you can have watching random stuff. I missed a lot of WCW, and particularly the wrestlecrap stuff, so today I watched the debut of The Yeti, the 60-man World War 3 match in which he (now dressed as a ninja instead of a mummy) was basically eliminated first, and his bout with Juventud Guerrera while he was in the Flock and called Reese. Great stuff.EDIT: My first choice was actually going to watch some D'Lo Brown matches but his name came up with nothing in the search. Why is searching for full old episodes of Raw and SmackDown so difficult? I know there's not many on there at the moment but I can't find any at all! King Pitcos
The search function is terrible. You just need to go to the Raw/Smackdown section and go by year.

I did a search for D-Lo Brown a few weeks ago funnily enough, loads of stuff came up, all added to my watchlist! Search is only good for matches, not shows, and even then it doesn't give a full result.
